Did you really think Kamala would win? Deep down inside, did you?

Kamala couldn’t even show up to Howard U to thank her supporters. Weak

Trump had 4 years to campaign and Kamala had 3 months. The Campaign was dead when Biden didn’t drop out earlier.

Sad thing was the longer she had to campaign, the worse she would do.

After the initial jump in the polls, her campaign got stale. Same boring interviews with long winded answers. Same celebrity endorsements. Same doom and gloom about Trump, rather than focusing on her vision for America. It reminded Americans why they rejected her in 2019.

So the longer her campaign went, the worse she would do.

Yup. The reality of Harris is that the more people get exposed to her the less they like her.

Then her campaign really took off and Trump seemed to be faltering, so I thought maybe she could do it. I personally can't imagine supporting Trump, so it's hard for me to understand that other people do.

Her campaign never took off. His never faltered. It was all media spin and the echo chamber.

I thought they were two terrible candidates and an embarrassment that they were the best our country could put forth for an election. I voted for Trump because I feel he’s the better choice to lead the country, after experiencing both already. The election results were not a surprise at all. I went to bed early on Tuesday.

So here ya go. His "never faltered". He's "a better choice to lead the country."

You must have missed pretty much every word (aka lie) that came out of Trump's mouth during this election cycle.

Exhibit A of how this election was about one thing and one thing only, the total ignorance and apathy of American voters.

But listening to Trump...makes you like him more? You like demented insults and lies in a nonsensical stream for hours on end? WTF?

As if Russia and Elon Musk would interfere to help Kamala. But you know who they would rig it for?! Deep down you do, right? Putin would love nothing more than an imbecile US president who can be manipulated. So yah, if there was any “winning”, it definitely happened for the other team.

I knew in August that she would lose. That is when I visited my Dad in Bucks County PA, and passed a lot of Trump signs and only 1 Harris sign. Bucks was crucial in the 2020 election. I knew deep down then that she wasn't winning.

On a personal level, I was much less enthusiastic about Kamala than I was about Hillary. I am a moderate Democrat and figured if I am less enthused about Kamala, then Independents or moderate Republicans are probably less enthused about her too. If Hillary couldn't win, then I didn't expect Kamala to do so.

Kamala is seen as left of Biden and Hillary. Her pick of Tim Walz didn't help moderate her canidacy. She needed a strong, white, moderate male with name recognition. I think Mark Kelly would have been a much better pick. I had never heard of Tim Walz before she picked him. While he seems like a nice, next-door neighbor type of guy, he did not instill strength or confidence as the second in command.

I voted for them but not enthusiastically. As someone who has never voted for a Republican for President, I knew if I wasn't enthusiastic, I knew those to the right of me politically weren't going to be.

To be honest I did but I now realize that’s because since I don’t use Facebook or Twitter, I think I miss a lot of the far right rhetoric and didn’t realize how prolific it was. That’s my bad.

I like Tim Walz a lot and in theory they were a good match. But why she didn’t pick Josh Shapiro knowing how crucial PA was and that Minnesota was already a lock, I’m not sure. It wouldn’t have mattered probably given she underperformed in every swing state but it’s a strange misstep in hindsight. What votes was Walz supposed to pull?

That vision is now dead and my eyes are wide open. America is not the beacon of democracy, freedom and righteousness that I thought it was but that's on me for being an idealist. It's just like all the other countries, neither here not there, but no definitely not exceptional.

This x10000. I’m GenX and remember learning about the rise of Hitler in Germany. Even though our teacher told us if you don’t carefully learn history you are doomed to repeat it, we didn’t really believe it. We couldn’t understand how everyday Germans voted for Hitler, stood by while their neighbors families and children were rounded up, thrown in trucks and sent to camps, or how the disabled and homosexuals were imprisoned or shot. We all thought that would never happen in America. We are a beacon of freedom, a nation of laws that protect minorities, we are exceptional.
We are not.

I am deeply ashamed of our country.

U you our deeply ashamed because your county has done none of that? And will do none of that outside deporting illegals - which has always been done by all Presidents prior to Biden.

I always hoped for her and has fingers crossed. But I knew for sure she wouldn't win being a woman. If Hillary Clinton didn't, there was no way Kamala Harris was going to. But after her debate with Trump and the Democratic convention, I really hoped she won. 68 million people sure did vote for her! Pretty good considering she is a woman and more than 50% of this country is full of morons.

Hillary was not well liked - even by democrats. How about you start with a charismatic candidate?

Walz was supposed to get all the progressive Midwestern whites guys who had lied about their military records and wanted their major cities to burn down. And apparently both of them actually did vote for Kamala. So, mission accomplished, Tim! See you in 4 years when Claudine Gay needs a VP who gives her cred in the Flyover states.

Ok, I heard the whale psych comment. He was very obviously joking around.

As someone who is not chronically online I genuinely have no clue what the hell any of this is supposed to mean.

But, even if you gave her credit for being qualified due to experience, I knew we would not select a woman over a white man even after after all he did/has done. Trump has managed to get a pass on all the vile language, behaviour, being a felon, failed business person and trying to overthrow our government and they all act like its a nothing burger. We could never run a candidate with this many flaws on the Dem side and fall all over ourselves to vote for them. Can't make this $hit up.

We need to stop running woman though because they are simply not electable at this moment in time regardless of how experienced they are.

Kamala had a better resume than Obama ran. How is that not sexist?

As Hillary Clinton proved, resumes are meaningless. To get the presidency you have to appeal to voters. Harris was uncomfortable and she telegraphed that to voters. The worst thing you can do is show a lack of confidence and that is what she did.

That’s fair, but man do I love Hillary. She is brilliant, a total boss and a complete policy nerd. She would have been a fantastic president. I also love Joe Biden for his character.

And while I never would have voted for Kamala in a primary (I respect her but don’t think she stands out in any particular presidential way), she ran an excellent campaign given the strong currents against her. Props to her. I don’t remotely blame this on her. Maybe on Nancy pelosi, who pushed Biden out.

What a man of character! Fails to acknowledge a beautiful grandchild who exists and wants to be loved.

There was no sweeping that situation under the rug. Instead of taking the high road, President Character decided to play Mickey Dunce
