On a personal level, I was much less enthusiastic about Kamala than I was about Hillary. I am a moderate Democrat and figured if I am less enthused about Kamala, then Independents or moderate Republicans are probably less enthused about her too. If Hillary couldn't win, then I didn't expect Kamala to do so.

Kamala is seen as left of Biden and Hillary. Her pick of Tim Walz didn't help moderate her canidacy. She needed a strong, white, moderate male with name recognition. I think Mark Kelly would have been a much better pick. I had never heard of Tim Walz before she picked him. While he seems like a nice, next-door neighbor type of guy, he did not instill strength or confidence as the second in command.

I voted for them but not enthusiastically. As someone who has never voted for a Republican for President, I knew if I wasn't enthusiastic, I knew those to the right of me politically weren't going to be.
