Kate spending time with "birth family"

I didn’t because my cancer center is better than theirs… but facing chemo with young children is super daunting. I have one more round to go!

BC survivor here. You got this! You will be okay. I'm sending you so much love, hugs, and prayers!!!! 🙏

It also makes sense that she just wants to be with her parents and out of the way of all the royal stuff.

And all the staff.

And it’s not just that people are demanding her to do events but she hasn’t even been seen outside of that fugazi farm stand sighting since December. And it’s not being a ghoul to wonder why her entire family has disappeared or why William didn’t help them financially or with the press attacks when their business failed. Or why a single Middleton wasn’t invited to the garden party he hosted when we were told for years Carole was like a second mum to him. Meanwhile Camilla has made a point of being photographed with Rose Hanbury multiple times.

If I had serious cancer I would not spend my remaining time doing dumb events cutting ribbons so more power to Kate if that is what she has chosen. However it seems more likely that she’s having some sort of marital issue since her birth family is either giving or receiving the cold shoulder from her spouse who seems completely fine despite her allegedly being seriously ill.

If I had serious cancer, I could go to the supermarket or park or doctor without anyone taking my photo and selling it to the press.

I am pretty upset about how horrible some people here are, and no doubt they are horrible to Meghan, too. Knowing you are a woman and hating other women makes you pathetic. Do you hate your DDs, too?

If anything, I am surprised that Billy has not commented about Kate in recent months; I mean, not really. He seems to be a total douchebag. It often happens like that with fathers like Charles, narcs who create narcs.

Filters, makeup and a good wig can make her look much healthier.

I definitely would not want her job. Every appearance is under scrutiny and photographed, the family/firm seems to be a nightmare and you must look perfect and seem perfect any time anyone sees you. You can't go blow off steam with friends for fear they leak what you said to the press.

She wanted the job because her parents groomed her for it and she was young and eager to please. Also, even though plenty divorced, it's certainly not easy to leave the firm and you get thrown under the bus plenty.

They are not going to alter any photos with filters after the reaction to the mothers' day photo.

Instead of birth family, why didn’t they just say she was spending time with her parents? And why use language like they are all “surrounding” her as if she is on her death bed? It’s unbelievable how stupid they all are.

It was a weirdly worded statement but we can all agree that whomever they have working in communications for Will and Kate is terrible at their job, so, are we surprised?

It was not an official statement and may have no basis in fact whatsoever.

I think we’ve learned from the oversharing of personal health problems in these threads is that everyone is different. All kinds of factors play into one’s ability or willingness to work during illness.

Its awkward all these people centering themselves in what is supposedly going on with Kate. Your experience as an American commoner is NOTHING like Kate's. Their world is smoke and mirrors, very hands off parenting except for photo ops, training the heir apparent, and preserving the monarchy. Not about spending quality time with family.

Her life could be just as you describe it. It could also be that she does actually value her family above all else and that she’s scared to death by her diagnosis. It’s weird that you don’t think that’s a possibility. It’s almost like you are willing yourself not to see her as a human being capable of all sorts of good and bad qualities.

It’s also super weird that you want to discount other PP’s experiences while pushing that you alone know exactly what Kate’s life is all about. Maybe go take a walk and touch some grass.

... Until you find yourself facing mortality and diagnosed with cancer at a young age. The narrative tracks and the conspiracies are weird.

Why should he? Any comment would be dissected 100 ways. Easiest thing is to say nothing.

Can't imagine what emotions would be like with cancer, especially when the scenario is "I can do please an entire country by being pretty me or I can say screw it because I am sick and bald and bloated *and* simultaneously emaciated and I refuse to play this game."

I can see that.

Tantrums over PMS?

DP but yes, PMS can actually trigger psychosis and severe psychotic episodes. Read up on it.
