Isn’t there more equal playing time on Capital? If so, perhaps the drama will disappear? |
| VA Metro is a joke of a club. It’s run horribly and they enter pretty bad tournaments and always in the worst brackets. Sell the club |
| if it isn't equal playing time - get ready for certain "untouchables" to never come out of the game. Hence, perhaps the "B" team of Capital is where you want your daughter to land anyway. Less drama, more fun, an actual TEAM. Hopefully enough talent too. |
Sounds like more people know about the real reason they left Pride for Stars and now Capital. Wouldn't be the DC area without lots of politics! Having played the 26 Stars team, they are not as good as everyone says they are. Sounds like the 26 Capital team is going to be a good show, get your popcorn ready! |
Did you win? NOPE. So better than you! |
| is Capital truly an equal playing team club? Is that a fact or rumor and if it is a fact why don't they market this in their tryouts? Seems there would be certain kids who want this atmosphere where certain girls who will always feel they are the "stars" or the "pride of DC" would prefer another. A club can handle playing time differently but they should share their strategy up front because not all onboard with both. |
You sound really smart |
I know this is really hard for you, Jimmy. There have been many posts about this already. I’ll try to boil it down to a third grade level for you. Capital has equal rotations to give all players the chance to show their talents in front of coaches. Capital focuses on maximizing the number of recruits on its teams. That’s kinda why these kids are doing all this … If you look at the Md clubs you’ll often see a cliff in the quality of schools where their commits are going (either in terms of lax rank or academic strength). It’s because those players who never see the field don’t have a chance to show themselves to coaches during their freshman and sophomore recruiting years. More playing time for all means more players get more looks by the good schools, and more opportunities to get recruited by those good schools. 1+1=2 Top girls shine. Other players get more minutes to show their stuff. I wish there was a way I could do this in crayon. Why do you care so much about Capital? Stay in Md where half the team plays 80 percent and the other half plays 20 percent. You guys think you’re better, right? Enjoy yourselves and do your thing. If you were truly confident in your own programs you shouldn’t give Capital the time of day, right? |
Yet, they have 2x the 2023 college commits compared to Cap B |
| The 23s is the last good class for metro, after that it’s all down hill. The club is run like a joke, and there is only one person who knows recruiting at that club. Good luck after the 23s are gone |
| Woof, lots of shots at different clubs. My question is as a newer parent to lacrosse, if your daughter ends up in a good school that she is happy with, does it really matter which club she played for. Still struggling with that |
| All this Capital va md clubs makes me laugh, but keep it goin, this is great entertainment |
With one or two exceptions the schools the VA Metro players are committed to are neither strong lax programs or strong academics. It’s a pretty crappy list of schools TBH. |
The chosen girls will be on the team. |
