Capital Tryouts

Do the clubs share the roster before a decision is made? Or is it based on chatter only through the girls? Went through this w/ my son and not looking forward to going through this w/ my daughter now.

Translation: My daughter isn't strong enough to make Capital A so I need to explore other options.

More wall ball, fewer excuses.

MD clubs are a snake pit. If you made that move, brace for being on the outside when it comes to HS. They take care of their own. Plus the dads are insane and will scream at your kid if they miss a slide. Great experience.

same as the VA moms and dads. All drinking the same water.

Can someone please put this to rest and post how many BLC players from the 24, 26 and 28 teams went to Skywalker's Blue, Hero's Green and M&D Black?

perhaps Capital B is the team that will have strong girls w/ less crazy parents. Might not be the stars of team but who needs that crazy drama anyway. Might be the way to go. Lesser of the 2 evils? Or, maybe not enough talent to field a decent B team. Not sure but will be interesting to see how it plays out

So you're not denying this happens at the MD clubs. I have been to hundreds of DMV games and have never seen unruly behavior from DMV club sidelines. Have seen it multiple times when DMV teams play MD clubs and the drunk MD psycho dads unleash at the refs and their own kids on a missed play. It's embarrassing.

4 players from the 28 BLC team went to Hero's Green. All their top players. Several others left as well. The 28 BLC last summer was a top 25 team. They are now a C level team and had a horrible time in the B division of NGLL.

As a blanket statement, this is not true. My moco daughter went with two friends to Baltimore club, had a great experience, met a bunch of great girls and now all play in college. At a maximum, it depends on the year, but its like that at every club, right? No club is perfect.

So you're a dad of one of these BLC 28 players who made this move. It was a decision that was best for you in your individual year. I hope your kid has great success - I really do. A trend this does not make. I've been around this sport longer than you (I have a kid who went through the recruiting process and played at a D1 school.) When my kid was your kid's age, certain DMV teams were better than others. It's happened since, it's happening now, and it will happen when your kid is my kid's age. If your kid was on the BLC 27 team you would have stayed with the club and none of this conversation would be happening. If BLC has a weak 28 team, Capital 28s will likely have heavier Pride representation. Everything changes year to year.

So how do all these top Ball T More and Anne a Polis teams have roster spots open for DMV players if those areas are better feeders than DMV? How are the DMV players even able to make those teams?

The recruiting results say different. Compare VA Metro to Captial B at 2023 VA Metro is much stronger than Cap B

Pretty sure that 0 went from BLC 26. The 2026 girls I know of were MC girls who went to Hero’s.

Did those MC girls make Hero's Green?
