You can read her dissertation online, if you're interested

Mascott was the assistant principal of Harmony hills, not the principal.

Didn’t he sleep with a teacher when he was the principal at Dufief? He should’ve been fired.

I don't know anything about that situation but usually that behavior gets a principal a promotion to central or a move to lead another school in a community.

OMG that is him???? Shame, shame, shame. He caused a lot of crap at that school. But, they have a good principal now.

Was he married to someone else or single and dating the teacher?

Can someone explain why they don't announce ahead of time WHICH schools are getting appointments at a given meeting? Not the person but at least putting the school name on the agenda?

They have never put anything on the agenda other than "human resources appointments." It's always a surprise. Obviously the people being appointed already know, so they may tell a few people. And sometimes a school's director may give people from the school a heads-up that their appointment is being announced at a particular meeting.

Because the board has to vote to approve, and in theory (though I am not aware of this ever actually happening), they could decide to vote against a particular candidate. To have publicly announced which schools will be appointed would mean that they were being presumptuous.

I recall once when Jeanette Dixon voted against a candidate, but everyone else voted for them, so they were still appointed.

Out of curiosity, are most of you following this thread interested in a a particular school (e.g., your own children's school) or do you follow the movements of principals more generally? If the latter, why?

I’m following this thread because I work at one of the schools that does not have a principal yet.
