Parents in some schools aren't as obnoxious as others.

Central office only cares about certain schools. I was the parent of a kid that had a terrible principal and parents complained constantly. They protected her. Central office has their favorites and schools they care about and schools they don’t. They also play favorites.

Yeah, parents in some schools aren't as obnoxious as others.

At Sligo he was definitely interested. He was very good from a parent/student perspective.

There are other middle school principal positions that will be opening but haven't been announced yet. Perhaps he'll get one of those.

Interested in seeing who leads Neelsville (I'm not in that zone, just know that it's one of the most underperforming middle schools and schools in the system overall). Also, surprised that not many HS principals have announced their retirement - especially the Watkins Mill leader. It's early though.

I think they are spacing out the announcements. People would be alarmed if they knew how much change is about to occur. I don’t think principals will announce plans to leave until they are sure what they are doing next, for fear they might jeopardize their current job.

Can you elaborate more about Neelsville?

Pretty sure she was at JW maybe 5 years ago. If so, I liked her there. I thought she was better than the principal, whom I didn't really care for.

We have Ms. Deeny now at RM and I really like her. Much better than the prior principal.

What is happening at Wheaton? Who is currently principal and who will be principal next year? There was some shifting this year.

Dr. Munsey was on leave but is back as principal.

Great, glad he's okay.

They're getting a new building within the next few years, but students have constantly complained about the climate there (article tagged below). Also, as I said, it's one of the most underperforming middle schools especially test score wise (which isn't the only measure obviously).

Central Office is advertising a new opening for a Director position. Is that a new position or did someone leave the position?

Dr. Ennis left her director position recently to return to being a principal, at Georgian Forest.

I agree! I didn't care for the JW principal either. She seems put together
