There is a LOT Of money for the migrants and hotels here in the USA. Where I live (beach area), foreign nationals bought run down hotels, did not renovate them and are getting a HUGE amount per migrant family to keep them in sub-standard conditions. The migrants are paid a stipend per month by government (your tax dollars) that surpasses many peoples’ SS checks and welfare checks. |
Let them get jobs to feed and house themselves. It's not like they aren't capable of working. It's not like businesses won't hire them. |
Better yet, let's get them flights back to their home countries. Why employ people who break our laws and enter illegally? If their first action is to break our laws, why should we think they will be law abiding residents? |
Two problems here. One, once they are inside, they can’t be left to starve and out on the streets. Second, the US doesn’t have the predominant Protestant ethic anymore. It’s full of opportunists who will abuse the government help (not the “asylum seekers” but those hotel owners and such. |
Let’s leave Israel out of it! |
So you're really going to continue the deliberately obtuse act? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
You are aware that Biden has now decided to continue building a border wall, even after he (and all Democrats) mocked Trump - right? Why did he do an about-face? We'll wait. |
Exactly. The Biden administration starting rolling out the red carpet even before he took office. And stupid, bleeding-heart liberals continue to insist masses of illegal immigrants be let in. Enough. |
+1 But there is no rational discussion to be had with the "yOu'Re RaCiSt!!" poster. Just a complete moron. |
Um, I would say the opportunists who are willing to abuse the government's help are those coming here under false "asylum" claims. Why should the US be required to let them in at all? No other country on earth is expected to let masses of non-citizens into their countries. |
You are seriously deluded if you think this is the case. DP |
