This is such crap.
First, let's look at the title of this worthless compact. We see the words, "Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration."
What we are experiencing in the US is neither safe, nor orderly, nor regular.
It is unsafe for the migrants, the border patrol agents, and the citizens living along the border and citizens in interior states where migrants are residing.
It is certainly not orderly. They enter illegally, not at legal points of entries. They leave tons of trash along the way. And, they damage property as they come.
And, even this administration admits that the illegal immigration happened at the border is "irregular."

In this compact is this.....
"We commit to working with other countries to enhance cooperation to manage migration in ways that are grounded in human rights, transparency, nondiscrimination, responsibility-sharing, and State sovereignty."

This is the biggest bunch of BS - especially the part about "state sovereignty" and "transparency."

This document is nothing more than for 3rd world countries to have a document giving them permission to send their citizens to the US.

Another reason Biden has to go.

In order to fix a problem, you first have to admit you have one.
This administration will not do that. His press secretary, in response to the record 300,000+ encounters in December said there are "ebbs and flows" and this is not "unusual." To have over 300,000 encounters in December is highly unusual and there have been NO ebbs and flows - only flows.

Mayorkas, the totally incompetent boob in charge of DHS will not even admit this is a crisis. For him, it's a "challenge." And when asked if they would be willing to accept funding if it were only used for detention and removal from the country, he waxed on about how what they needed, but did not mention deportations. When asked if this administration takes any responsibility for these historic numbers, he said "This is something that we are seeing throughout this hemisphere."

Only conclusion is that this is what they want.

Whether or not any of this is actually true, how do you think the U.S. should react to massive waves of migrants? Let them in? Or secure the damn border? The GCM reaffirms the sovereign right of States to determine their national migration policy and their prerogative to govern migration within their jurisdiction, in conformity with international law, while also critically recognizing that international migration is an inherently transnational phenomenon that no State can or should address alone.

Yep. No doubt this document was passed around among those thinking about making the trek to our border. It's pretty much a green light for them to do just that. A small city in Wisconsin is appealing to the White House for help with the influx of approximately 1,000 migrants who have come in since 2022, with issues ranging from housing to crime affecting the small community.

City leaders of Whitewater, Wisconsin, have prepared a letter to President Biden, saying they have seen a "rapid increase in the population of immigrants arriving from Nicaragua and Venezuela."

"As a municipal government, our focus is not on legal status, but rather ensuring we are providing the resources expected of a municipality to all residents of the City. Unfortunately, we are increasingly finding it difficult to do that," the letter adds.

The leaders said police have been facing obstacles with communication, transportation, housing and identification. They said there have been three times the number of unlicensed drivers on the road, while some migrants have been living in "terrible" conditions.

The letter also noted a "significant trust barrier" between migrants and staff, leading to some providing false documents and misleading staff.

The USA, UK, etc cannot take in and support the massive volume of economic migrants. From NYC to Denver to small towns the locals are overwhelmed because there really is NO southern border.

Enforce the damn laws. Deport them under Title 8. Film the mass deportations and broadcast them around the world.
Until people in these countries see that they may not get in... they will keep coming.

Ok. So you acknowledge we can’t stop them from coming in.
That’s a start.
In order to be deported, they have to be processed.
And it’s a great idea to film “mass deportations”, that’s until the cartels start putting out their own doctored footage and deepfakes showing the exact opposite.
The quickest solution is money for processing and court space.
