Both. A few more blue than orange I think.

Disappointing Capital no longer lists the school the players go to.

SJC's midfielders are their strength. The two sophomores + a sophomore middie from SR are also the strength of the Capital 23 team.

Congrats to Georgetown Visitation, the new national #1 team in the rankings this week. Like them or not, it's good for the area to have another team beyond SSSAS top ranked. Shows the depth of girls lax in the DC area and should help perception of all teams moving forward.

It is great for the area!

... although I believe SR or GC are the actual best teams. Visi only beat BI in OT. GC beat them with ease 17-11. Great SR v. GC matchup next week on the 18th and Vis and SR on the 21st! Hopefully the stars align and we can get GC and Visi as well.

US Lacrosse rankings:
#1 Visi
#4 SSSAS
#13 SR
#20 GC

Also considered: BI

I think if BI was considered PVI is going to be moving up as well. PVI also lost to GC, but by a smaller margin than BI.

You should note for readers we did play GC with two players up for a good part of the second half. While playing down GC pretty much dominated us. Would not be fair to make a direct comparison between us and BI right now. Lets wait until we beat them directly to lump us in with them.

Good Luck! Despite PVI having one of the best 2021 middies in the area, and some young talent, my money is on the BI girls and coaches.

Would have been nice if the refs didn't decide that game was their show. 10 cards - ultimately 5 each but 5 of first 6 to GC. And I'd say only 4 of the cards (2 each) were legitimate (fouls yes on some, but cards?) Refs were god awful that day judging from the video.

GC played some amazing team, patient , composed lacrosse when down players.

BI beat SJC by 1 (9-8)

Either BI is getting worse or SJC is getting better - or both. I'm leaning on the side of both. It is the sign of parity and growth of girls lacrosse in DMV. There are the traditional powers like SSSAS, Visi, BI but now SR & GC are on that level and lower but making moves are Bullis, Holton and SJC.

BI is nowhere near the caliber of what they were now that the 2020s are gone. Still good. But the classes since are not as deep.

Also makes me wonder if the VT commit played? I know she has been but the score makes me think she may have been limited in some capacity?

GC was literally top 5 nationally in 2015. A few down years since but they have traditionally been a powerhouse and are returning to that level.
