DC Metro Teams in this week's rankings:
#7 SR #9 Visi #10 SSSAS #19 GC Also considered: BI |
SR, Visi and Saints all lose a number of seniors this year so next year will be interesting for sure! |
| All 4 of those teams are very senior heavy - I would say BI would jump ahead of Visi and GC, but SR and Saints will be the top 2 in the area next year. |
| SSSAS graduates 17 seniors with 9 of them starting. Stone Ridge graduates 6 with all of them starting. Ireton graduates 7 but only 2 or 3 starting. All three are graduating their starting goalies and their starting draw. Good Counsel is graduating all three of its goalies and its top attack and midfield, but has a lot of field experience returning in the rest of the class. What is returning at Visi or FH? |
| FH? |
| Flint Hill = FH |
They lose at least a really solid Mid. Fast/draw/aggressive OSU baller who will be missed!!! Well coached
However did seem like they had some underclassmen playing a lot this spring. |
FH is pretty irrelevant. They are losing two strong Juniors who are transferring to SSSAS. They won’t have much left, just one strong Jr defender who will be a senior. |
| Wow...rising seniors transferring high school for one year only? To play lacrosse? |
| SR has a very deep bench with some stellar freshman and sophomores. This is now the SR era of lacrosse. |
yup crazy |
|
Not that crazy! In this instance the families actually pay less in tuition with that move, and the girls play with their club friends and hope to get a state championship.
Also that junior defender is likely not staying either. Apparently FH didn’t handle COVID very well and some families are not happy. |
It will be the SR era once they actually win something. They are capable of it, but need to do it regularly like the other schools to be called an “era”. |
| Are privates still playing or are they done. Do they play summer seasons |
The ISL is done for the season. Don’t know about WCAC. No high schools don’t play summer lax - only clubs. |
