DCE is not decidedly better than NL. NL has teams from 2020 through 2029, and multiple teams for some grades. DCE is just a HS program. Their 2021 team is excellent because almost everyone is a reclass and their 2022 is very good. But their 2020 team is terrible and NL's 2020 team is excellent. They are fighting for basically the same kids so for any particular grade, there can only be one great team between the two. NL has a coaching problem where they are scrambling to cover games and tournaments. DCE is run by the guys who tried to fire the Bullis coach and are super greedy. |

Yeah, DCE/Bethesda vs. NL is mostly a wash. There's not a great case for either being stronger if you go year-by-year.
2020 NL much better. 2021 DCE much better. 2022 DCE somewhat better. 2023 -- Wash. Neither that strong in HoCo. NL won head-to-head in a close game. 2024 -- Wash. Basically same record in HoCo. 2025 and 2026. Bethesda is better. 2027 and 2028. NL is better. |
| Not fair to compare 2020 since that was first year DCE fielded a team. 2021 and 2022 are much better than NL and don’t bother comparing Bethesda teams-they are not DCE. The best players want to play for DCE as rising 8th graders because that’s when it really begins for any kids with aspirations of doing well in HS and getting a shot to play in college. |
1. Don't have a kid at either DCE or NL, but you aren't helping anyone with your complete homer comments 2. Being a rising 8th grader is not "when it really begins for any kids with aspirations of ... getting a shot to play in college". You are delusional 3. As the previous poster pointed out, some years DCE has the better team, some years it's NL. Neither program is dominant. If DCE works for you, that's great. Being completely delusional means that nobody will take you seriously here. |
| And you are an NL homer. No one from DCE is trying to compare their teams with NL. Instead a lot of NL homers trying to compare NL teams to DCE. Not in the same league. |
| Talented kids we know try out for both teams to make sure they have a place to play. And here is what all them have done—if you make top DCE team you accept over NL. If you only make B DCE team and you make NL some have picked NL while some opt for B DCE. |
Thanks for the feedback on Cavalier Travel Lacrosse |
| I heard that Rabil, Pannell, and Jordan Wolf are only playing in the PLL because they didn’t make the DCE A team and they considered playing on the B team instead of the PLL. They understand that all the best players wish to play for a club that occasionally wins a game in HOCO |

HoCo standings:

Last year, Cavalier said they had something like the #14 2023 team in the world. Then they failed to even qualify for the WSYL. Since then the team has imploded.
This year, they state they had the #16 2024 team in the world, and again failed to qualify for the WSYL. Now they can't even put together a winning record in HOCO. LOL Cavalier. |
| Only the 2023 Cavs made the HoCo playoffs. The rest of them have been sent to go play wall ball until next spring. Oh well! |
Correction only the 2023 Cavalier/Blackwolf team made the play offs. |
Curious, what club are you part of and how'd they do in HoCo? |
Why do you say that? Are there Blackwolf players on Cavs 2023? |
Madlax. Everyone one of our teams made the Elite playoffs. And we don't brag about a fictional "world ranking", especially if it wasn't realistic. |
