This year, they state they had the #16 2024 team in the world, and again failed to qualify for the WSYL. Now they can't even put together a winning record in HOCO.

LOL Cavalier.

Curious, what club are you part of and how'd they do in HoCo?

Madlax. Everyone one of our teams made the Elite playoffs. And we don't brag about a fictional "world ranking", especially if it wasn't realistic.

Wow that is impressive even the DMV teams?

Why would a Madlax parent even care about a solid local travel program like the Cavs, their's no competition or overlap between the clubs. I would have guessed you're from one of the other local Nova programs.

While having a disappointing record, most of the Cavs 25 games were close. Congrats on Madlax making the elite playoffs, gotta love tiebreakers - good luck to the 2025-27 #4 seeded teams, play hard against those just as amazing Annapolis Hawks

No, the Madlax DMV teams definitely did not make the playoffs in the top divisions. Those teams play many levels below the top. None of the clubs in the DMV or Baltimore have a B team playing at that high of a level.

But the DMV area youth teams did really well in the HoCo this year. If you take the 24 playoff teams from the top youth divisions (2023-2028), 11 of those spots went to DMV area teams. Madlax Capital 2024-2028 plus the former Clue Blue now Madlax DC dogs had six spots. Next Level has 3 (2024, 2027, 2028), and DCE/Bethesda has 2 (2023, 2025).

That is way more than last year from DC area clubs. Baltimore teams only had seven spots: Crabs (2023, 2027), Team 91 (2024-2026), Looneys (2026), HoCo (2028); Annapolis Hawks had five (2023-2027); and there was one eastern shore team in the third grade division. Admittedly, the big Baltimore clubs get better as the kids age, so this isn't making any comment about the state of the high school aged clubs, but the youth clubs in DC had a very good showing in a tough league.

One should also note that VLC made the playoffs in several divisions, although not their teams weren't in the top divisions, which seems like a misplacement of a couple of their teams.

So despite everyone ripping the clubs their kids are not on, Madlax, Bethesda, Next Level, VLC, and other clubs in the area are fielding some strong youth teams!

MadLax should want Cavalier to do well, because that would mean that the Cavs kids who eventually leave to join MadLax would be of even higher quality.

Change Madlax to Blackwolf.

Correction only the 2023 Cavalier/Blackwolf team made the play offs.

Why do you say that? Are there Blackwolf players on Cavs 2023?

YES

But why? By all accounts BW is better than Cavs.

I don't even know who BW plays against. They're not in the HoCo league, that's all I know.

BW has no youth program and is going downhill.

The top Cavs kids basically all leave for VLC now.

How did they do? I think most of the Cav teams do very well in summer tournaments that are local there is nothing wrong with that. They are still one of the top N.VA programs.

VLC destroyed 2023 Cavs 13-5 in the semifinal.

Correction VLC defeated the Cav/Wolf's in the semifinal

Kids are leaving Cavs at an even higher rate now.

Do not worry "Summer is coming" a few wins in VA Beach and Hershey will right the ship. Parents will be happy and CAV magnets will be back on Suburbans up and down the toll road. They may want to re-think HOCO next season.

This is the equivalent of people making fun of where they grew up. It makes absolutely no sense to me.

Everybody know's what Cav's is and 99% of the kids playing at a higher level somewhere else NOW cut their teeth and got the fire in the gut because of Cav's.
