This. Then they will continue to advocate for things like abolishing ICE, defunding the police, and using tax dollars to pay for felon’s sex change surgery and claim that people voting against them are simply racists.

These have not been in the headlines in years. Defunding the police wasn't even real but you keep perpetuating it!

DC councilman Trayon White is under federal indictment for fraud involving a “defund the police” scheme.

The program pulled funding away from uniformed, trained, sworn, police officers and diverted it to ridiculous and ineffective “violence interruptors” with the effect of FEWER real officers on the street.

That is just one example of how actual defunding of police has played out locally.

They meant it when people like Kamala said they were going to refund police. They meant it and they’ve done it.

The Dems also need to support common goddamn sense things like getting tough on the border, getting rid of our flimsy asylum laws, and they need to stop bashing straight white males. They spend so much time trying to court minorities that they forget they need white male votes to win since they're 30% of the entire population, which is basically as much as the entire black and Hispanic votes combined. I know the latter will get a lotta howls and criticisms, but it is true based on sheer raw numbers. You simply cannot win if you keep demonizing one of the largest cohorts of voters.

Enough with bathroom issues, gender affirming care for minors, and all of these other ID issues. The economy and mass illegal immigration are way more important and what voters care about the most.

My straight, white husband voted Harris. I can’t help it if you married a cry baby who can’t accept that in all his glorious privilege, he is still a loser.

Your husband likely is not straight.

This is an amazing retort. Gives one a peek into your brain. Lots of women are voting for Trump. I don’t assume anything about their sexuality because of that vote.

I assume self-hatred when a woman votes for dump.

I am a woman and have had no rights taken away; however, Kamala has threatened to take my private insurance away. Why would I vote for that?

I teach kindergarten and trump is the chair throwing child who makes all learning and happiness stop because you have to clear the room and allow him to calm down before you can actually get anything done.
And then everyone just waits until the next thing sets him off and chaos comes again.

Basically, it will be constant government emergencies that are self inflicted and draw on everyone’s time and resources.

It is this model of coddling violent people at the expense of everyone else that leads us to Trump. The education of other normal kids should not be disrupted. It is the violent student who needs to be removed.

I am sick and tired of these tactics.

So you're good with Dobbs as long as you have private health insurance? Mighty privileged of you.

you got that backwards. Dumptruck is taking away private insurance from the 20 million covered by the exchange. Private plans are not going anywhere.

Plus, the Democratic Party will send their shock-troops in Antifa, DSA, BLM, and antisemite groups to burn, loot, and murder just like they did across the US in 2020.

Wow you really are looney tunes.

I mean they did setup their own lawless zone (CHAZ) in Seattle to have space to throw their temper tantrums. You can't deny it didn't exist. Democrats allow anarchy like that to happen. No one wants that trash near them..

They also cannot deny their 2020 summer of destruction in multiple cities across the country. Burning federal buildings, looting, killing, etc. Liberal Press only talks about Jan 6th but forgets this event which was much much worse.

Every morning the dems wake up and it's Jan 6! But yeah, they don't seem to recall these George Floyd riots. It ruined my hometown city (take a wild guess where i'm from). A lot of these riots happened right in the area where my grandparents lived, destroying places I had good memories of. It'll never be the same. Walz just let them go at it. And it all gets pushed under the rug

I've met a few people who deny they even happened, let alone that there was $2billion of damage.

If you look at the two candidates and actually think---Trump is the better choice and you just cannot wrap your head around voting for Kamala, most likely you are misogynistic and racist. Most non-MAGA Republicans and ex trump staff and cabinet members have come out for Harris. And have stated why. So if you just cannot imagine voting for her, there is a lot more than just policy. Or you actually want a fascist dictator, racist pig and misogynist in the WH again.

this is your opinion. For me trump is the logical choice.

Because you’re a fascist, and all his promises of violence and retribution, his plans to destroy democracy: you like all of that.

If you are NOT extreme maga and would feel ok if R's win, please tell me how it's going to be ok. I don't know how the average american child for example will be okay without public education. Or how people in extreme weather areas will be okay without the weather service. I'll probably be okay for now because I know how to look elsewhere for those resources--maybe follow some meteorologists on threads or something. I live in a strong community that cares about education, so I imagine my kids will be fine and our community will find a way to support their schools. But I do worry about the state of the country if basic programs we have come to rely on and take for granted are decimated--my being okay doesn't translate to a great lived experience if the majority of people are flailing. Also: if the R's win, will the system be rigged toward extreme maga for the rest of my life? And how is that supposed to be ok, when a functioning democracy has robust perspectives from all sides of the aisle? I ask from a childlike standpoint, as someone who truly aims to see valid points on both sides of an issue.

Do you know what was incredibly destructive to my family? Covid school closures. See your bolded above. That was widely supported by democrats both federal and local. And when I came on here to point out the stress it was putting on young families, I got contemptuous responses about how "school isn't child care."

Actually it is. Dual income families relied on having a safe place for their children to be educated and supervised while we worked, and that basic program was decimated

Voting for trump with a young family? I hope you have a very robust financial situation. It seems you don’t have enough money to hire a pod or nanny during Covid. Trump’s economy will be painful for you.

It is this type of contempt that propels people like Trump into power.

20 million is a drop in the bucket for the 168 million on employer-sponsored insurance. Kamala campaigned on getting rid of that in 2019, and I don't trust her not to try that shit again if she is president.

Newsflash: Kamala has never won a single election on her own. She got destroyed in the 2020 primaries. She is VP because the Dems are obsessed with ID politics. She wasn't even nominated to run in 2024 by the electorate in the primaries.

She has been given automatic access at every level of the game without the voters having a say. Why would she win in the general elections where she has no more string pullers?

You might need to read up on her history, my friend. She’s won elections.

Kamala Harris has never won an election. Lol,.you think CA internal politics count for national elections? She was obliterated in the 2020 primaries in the first round. She wasn't even elected to run this year, lol. The dem party threw away the will of their voting base and decided to tell the entire country what is good for them. Harris and never won an election.

You are uninformed. Before 2016 Trump had never won an election if that’s your criteria. Harris had won her election to US Senator. That’s not an “internal California” race. You really shouldn’t embarrass yourself any further.

Non-Californians can vote for a California senate race?

Maybe there is some merit to the idea that electons are compromised.

And they won’t accept election results. Should be interesting.

My favorite people are the ones who claim that it was all a wild conspiracy. The protests were peaceful but it was police infiltrators that caused all of the damage.
