I don't know how you can live through the process by which Kamala received the nomination, listen to her opinion on "gender affirming" surgeries for inmates, lack of any action on immigration, and all the massive flip-flopping, and believe that her potential loss would be from misogyny. She herself is clearly an internal misogynist. Why else would she be married to Emhoff and also throw so much support behind the radical transactivist movement--which is the epitome of misogyny?

Harris was not nominated.

+100 not only was she not nominated..she polled in the single digits during primaries. No one wanted her.

Remember this? Just amazing how the media and Democrats have memory-holed what they thought of her, up until just a few months ago.

If Kamala loses I hope the Democrats give a big apology to President Biden and accept responsibility for creating needless chaos and panicking resulting in the Kamala Harris candidacy. No one except President Biden has ever defeated Trump and so many people were so quick to kick him to the curb after one biased debate with biased pro-Trump media coverage. If Kamala loses this is going to go down in history as the worst betrayal of a sitting president in history. We needed Biden's leadership more than ever and I fear we are going to be stuck with Trump.

Literally no one will think this. I don't even think the Bidens will think this. It is the dumbest of all takes.

If Biden were the nominee, the election would be a foregone conclusion by now. I don't know a single Democrat who thinks otherwise. He stood absolutely no chance of winning.

+1 If Harris loses, the real heat will be on Biden for not stepping down in time for a robust primary. Dude is incapacitated.

Not according to Jill. Sources say Jill and Kamala always despised each other and last month a row between their staffers occured where security had to separate both entourages

That’s seriously bad.

If Kamala loses, it will be a tremendous day for the country. The radical, far-left Biden-Democrat agenda will have been repudiated.

I don’t know any American women who care about Gaza more than reproductive rights in their own country.

People were practically begging Michelle Obama to run because her poll numbers against Trump were so high. That’s not the sign of a misogynistic society.

A woman can win the presidency. It has to be the right woman.

Michelle Obama would be torn to shreds by rightwing and the MSM if she immediately ran for POTUS:
“inexperienced”
“riding her husband’s coattails”
“a nepo leader”
“another Hillary”

Get real. MO never had a chance.

You forgot "stupid", "incompetent", "ugly" and all kinds of other cringe usually involving her looks or some kind of sexual acts because she happens to be a POC female. I think she would be wonderful. I also think she doesn't want anything to do with politics. We're better off recruiting Tim Walz after this.

When’s the last time Michelle had a real job? She was nudged out of her law firm gig. Her next gig after that was the $300k fake job at UChicago? She hasn’t worked in decades, did nothing of note when she did, and people want her to be POTUS? Insanity.

Elizabeth Warren received a paltry 8% of the black vote during the primaries which still placed her above Kamala.

I don't think anyone will blame Harris except fringe crazies-- every rational Democrat has seen how hard she's worked the last three months. She's done everything she can possibly do. There will be no "why didn't she go to Michigan?" or "did they get cocky?" like their was with Clinton. This campaign is leaving it all on the field. Whatever flaws it has are inherent to the candidate or the process and because of how she became the candidate, you can't blame Harris for that. What are you going to say? Be a different person? Stop being a biracial woman? Go back in time and have give birth so it can't be held against you in the 2024 presidential election? She is blameless.

Just as with Justice Ginsberg, people will grumble about how Biden should have stepped aside sooner to help avoid the worst case scenario. But nothing to be done now.

I hope the coalition that has formed to elect Harris will stick together if she loses to fight Trump when he attempts to dismantle our democracy. I especially hope they can unite over stopping anything that changes how elections work, how courts work, or the powers of the presidency. I do think people are highly motivated on these issues.

Jill Stein could get some blame too if Trump wins Michigan.

I mean, she is hawking sugary drinks at Costco. Surely that gives her some gravitas?

And she's still going to beat Trump. That's how bad of a nominee he is.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. We'll have to wait and see.

You left out the part about innocent Israelis being slaughtered as well. I'll wait.

This is the truth. Biden waiting until Democrats were finally caught covering for his decline is the real reason Harris loses, if she loses. I hold him, his wife, and his handlers completely to blame for lying to Americans and staying in the race until it was too late to primary someone else.

No one was "covering" for anyone because there was nothing to "cover" -- stop it with the fake news. Countless people -- from cabinet members to senators to well-respected members of the media -- were very clear about how sharp President Biden was (and still is!) and his achievements. Nothing changed except one debate performance and then the hysterical 1% uber wealthy stomped their feet and threatened to jump ship if they didn't get their way with their foolish plan to change candidates at the very last minute. I mean did you ever hear of the old saying "Don't try to switch horses in mid-stream"?? You know that's a truism for a reason, right?

President Biden has nothing to apologize for except being a gentleman and trying to do the right thing for his country in the face of ungrateful donors and panicky celebrities. That's not what we are about. I didn't like it at the time but thought "fine" ... but it's not fine and we are going to do some soul searching afterwards. I'm marking this now so that blame is placed clearly where it belongs -- not on President Biden, but on the nattering nabobs of negativity that led us here.

DP. Stop with the gaslighting. You’re delusional if you think what you’re saying is actually true.

+100 It amazes me people are stupid to actually believe all of that.
