If Kamala loses

What happens if Kamala loses? Does the Democratic Party move right or left? Who do the torches and pitchforks come for - Kamala or Biden? Does Kamala sail into the sunset never to be seen again?

It won't matter because will will live in an authoritarian Christian Nationalist state.

According to the Hill article this morning, Biden already.

It will stay far left and they will blame misogyny and racism. They will refuse to believe or acknowledge people didn’t vote for her because they don’t align with progressive agenda and policy.

It will unite against Trump - just like it did after 2016.

Kamala is not a progressive. Enough with your BS.

And misogyny and racism are real.

Plus, the Democratic Party will send their shock-troops in Antifa, DSA, BLM, and antisemite groups to burn, loot, and murder just like they did across the US in 2020.

This. Then they will continue to advocate for things like abolishing ICE, defunding the police, and using tax dollars to pay for felon’s sex change surgery and claim that people voting against them are simply racists.

Yes.

That is the “identity politics” scheme. And progressives back it 100%. Democrats are all on board too.

The Democrats need to kill DEI and ID politics. They are so divisive and toxic. The Dems also need to support common goddamn sense things like getting tough on the border, getting rid of our flimsy asylum laws, and they need to stop bashing straight white males. They spend so much time trying to court minorities that they forget they need white male votes to win since they're 30% of the entire population, which is basically as much as the entire black and Hispanic votes combined. I know the latter will get a lotta howls and criticisms, but it is true based on sheer raw numbers. You simply cannot win if you keep demonizing one of the largest cohorts of voters.

Enough with bathroom issues, gender affirming care for minors, and all of these other ID issues. The economy and mass illegal immigration are way more important and what voters care about the most.

Biden will be blamed for failing to step aside earlier. I don't think anyone will blame Harris except fringe crazies-- every rational Democrat has seen how hard she's worked the last three months. She's done everything she can possibly do. There will be no "why didn't she go to Michigan?" or "did they get cocky?" like their was with Clinton. This campaign is leaving it all on the field. Whatever flaws it has are inherent to the candidate or the process and because of how she became the candidate, you can't blame Harris for that. What are you going to say? Be a different person? Stop being a biracial woman? Go back in time and have give birth so it can't be held against you in the 2024 presidential election? She is blameless.

Just as with Justice Ginsberg, people will grumble about how Biden should have stepped aside sooner to help avoid the worst case scenario. But nothing to be done now.

I hope the coalition that has formed to elect Harris will stick together if she loses to fight Trump when he attempts to dismantle our democracy. I especially hope they can unite over stopping anything that changes how elections work, how courts work, or the powers of the presidency. I do think people are highly motivated on these issues.

Her political career is definitely over if she loses. She's already old. She's only running now because of the emergency situation (emergency because the Democrata spent the past 8 years painting themselves into a corner starting with Clinton)
The primary function of a VP is to bolster an election. Losing an election is failing at the One Job.

The Democrats are dead unless the aging Clinton faction gives up its stranglehold.
