I’m confused! Trans swimmers Lia Thomas and Iszac Henig went head-to-head in the pool

There was no media coverage whatsoever of this. How disgusting that women being subjected to unwanted glimpses of male genitalia doesn’t warrant a mention.

Well that's an extremely odd thing to say. If you read the comlaint that is linked in the post you cite, it's based on mediar reports. Hmm. . . a legal complaint that's based on media reports and you are complainting thet there is no mediar coverage??? Heres one of the many articles that appear to have formed the basis for the complaint.

Now I agree that the entire issue was ignored by main stream media for weeks. Swimming World Magazine has been covering it fairly and repeatedly this entire swim season and the Washington Post is finally writing reasonable articles about it. But they ignored this story for weeks and let conservative media be the only voice paying any attention. Liberals generally have buried their heads and hoped this would go away. What's still missing is the voice of organizations that claim to defend women's rights. ACLU, Women's Legal Defense Fund. . . Where is a a column by Sally Jenkins? She's been quiet after speaking out for years defending women's equity in sports. It's possible these organizations just don't care about protecting athletic opportunity for cis women as much as they care about allowing trans women to benefit from their biological advantages in women's sports categories. But they should have the BALLS to say so. Silence is really a disservice to everyone and any athlete or parent of a female athlete that is paying attention knows what the silence means.

Ha! First response has it exactly right. Why are there even any more responses on this thread?

This is an excellent letter.

The comments too make it clear the vast majority of people are on the side of biological women. As they should be.

No. Elite swimmers and the majority of people who read articles in “Swimmer’s World” are on the side of science. The issue is that this isn’t the majority of people at all. The social agenda is going to beat out science every time. Science is boring and hard and no one really cares about female athletes anyway.

Title IX. Everyone deserves a chance.

It is all so crazy that it seems like a hoax.
To see if there is any limit to the absurdity?
So terrible for the majority of the women's swim team.

The majority of people are against men competing against women under any guise. So, this is more like:

White male privilege > Sane people

Absolutely astonishing and disgusting how liberals would expose women to sex crimes in order to enable men. What the hell is going on in these dystopian times.

I think we just need to do away with the terms “woman” and “man”, and make everything the simpler “male” and “female.”

This is bigger than just athletics. This is a disservice and attack on biologic females everywhere. I consider myself a liberal and I am disgusted how we are allowing this to happen. Transwomen are not biological women. Transwomen will not know what it is to menstruate, to have a baby, to go through menopause. I support the rights of a trans-woman to a point. What is happening is a threat to women everywhere. If this allowed in swimming, it just won't stop there.

The problem is I've seen some transwomen refer to themselves as female. Sadly there are ignorant people who actually believe you can change your biological sex.

Ignoring the transgender lobby’s machinations is exactly how that agenda captured virtually every gay rights and civil rights organization. It’s a pernicious ideology that has to be condemned and beaten back.

Transgender women are claiming to be biologically female because they claim their “brains” are “female.” There’s no avoiding this movement. They will keep following women to whatever space/term we migrate to in order to get away from them because the whole reason they exist is so take away what we have and make it theirs. It’s like thinking you can just ignore a bully who is following you around the playground stealing your things out of your hands. It’s not going to work.
