I guess you're doing life wrong, maybe if you had chosen a different profession you would have more free time to do things... |
Hope you are getting paid the big dollar to watch all of that film of high school girls lacrosse after going to so many games in person. I prefer the actual time with my kids. |
I watch film with my daughters, you tool.. |
When you can not argue against the facts that they do not see enough shots, and of the ones they do see, they are not saving most of them try and divert the attention. Oh, everyone, hey hey don't pay attention to that look over here at this shiny object... dips**t |
But do you watch film of every single game of every single team? No you don't. You don't see how these goalies play against the other opponents. |
Agree that GC clearly should have the most selectees, but 7 first team is certainly a lot. Not going to quibble with individual selections, because that's not appropriate. PVI middle getting POTY makes sense if your analysis is correct. Great player, seems like a nice kid, and carried a lot of the weight for PVI on both sides of the ball. BI and SJC first team selections also make sense, in my view. BI Florida commit and SJC Yale commit were outstanding this season. Two impressive Sophomores (GC and SJC) on First Team as well. Will be exciting to see where they commit.. Some really good players on Second Team and a few in HM as well. Good to see some younger players get noticed. |
Please provide these stats and and facts as from what I see, GC goalies have a significantly lower GAA in conference than other teams.
GC didn't give up 10 to AHC. |
Head-to-head also matters when evaluating the top tier. And GC comes out on top.
SJC's 2 1st team players carried quite the load and the rest were inconsistent throughout the year. I'd imagine the 2nd team freshman could have been first if she was more consistent because when she was on, she was very strong. |
The lower GAA is because they do not see even remotely close to the same volume of shots as any of the other conference goalies, and it is not even close and that is due to the amazing ride and defense they have, kudos to the defenders. In the 1st BI game, the 1st teamer faced 2 shots on goal and gave up 2 goals, 0 saves, save percentage of 0%.. The Honorable Mention (HM) goalie also played in that game and allowed 5 goals on 7 shots. 2 saves, save percentage of 28% Then in the BI playoff game, the First Team goalie made 1 save on 5 shots on goal, save percentage of 20% The HM gave up 5 goals on 5 shots, one of which was a turnover that led to an open-net goal. Their performance in all of the conference games I watched was relatively the same. Vs SJC in the title game, 1st team faced 1 shot on goal, gave up 1 goal, 0 saves save percentage 0%. HM gave up 4 goals on 5 shots on goal, had 1 save, save percentage 20% The FB commit played very well in that game and had several key saves when she was in. gave up 2 goals on 5 shots on goal. save percentage 40% Now, explain what the comment GC didn't give up 10 to AHC is even supposed to mean? |
Is everyone sick of hearing about the GC-SJC game? Make it stop. |
THAT CONVERSATION STOPPED SEVERAL DAYS AGO.... |
Saw all the WCAC goalies play this year.
BI Goalie was the best that I observed. |
Are you the mom of the junior or dad of the senior? |
I hate these kinds of responses. No one should say anything negative, which is right, but no one can say anything positive either without being accused of being a parent of the kid they are complimenting. Annoying. Call out the obvious self-promotion that does happen at times on these pages if you must, but in an anodyne post like the one above, or in a line of posts where others are posting about the good players making all-league or all-conference, it's just not enlightening. |
Stats don't always tell the story on a goalie. GAA might be more attributable to the defense (or draw control and offense) than to the goalie. Save percentage similarly can be a function of the quality of the defense (or lack thereof). |
