Yes, this. Especially for DCE because you pay for the full year upfront. Once they've got your money for the full year, you're at their mercy. Good luck to you.

Clearly there some parents on here who are bitter about being cut from the DC Express team...

No. Nobody was cut. Kids bolted, which is why they had to call so many up from the B team. People are bad about having to pay over $300 for a tryout.

You know, since there are no actual careers in lacrosse. This money pouring into the sport would make a lot more sense if there was a legitimate professional league akin to the NBA/NFL that kids were training for.

There is. It's called Wall Street.

Some parents might not think it's worth $3,000 either.

Really? Then, they are charging folks different prices. We were told $2800. If that is the case, then that's terrible. Glad we decided not to return.

Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell.

Probably more like a lot of hype and a hard sell.

These guys used the talented DCE 2021 team as their marketing message. Parents from other teams though there might be some special sauce at DCE and they wanted their kids to be part of it. And they were willing to pay for it and take their chances.

But, now the new parents are getting nervous because as soon as they signed up and paid up, the 2021 team fell apart. When the marquee team falls apart, people are going to wonder. No surprise there.

$4200 is not worth the price of any club no matter how good it is. That is purely for the purpose of making money off of the families. Nothing to do with player development.

Has DC Express posted rosters?
Anonymous
They do not post rosters. You have to be a member of Team Snap and that's only for members and their families. /s/ former DCE parent

seems very strange the rosters are not posted to the public.

glad our son graduated from the lacrosse circuit! at times it can become beyond stressful and insanely competitive between the parents.

Husband and I were lucky as DS high school coaches (Landon) had very strong college connections.

Give credit to Madlax and Crabs/VLC for being transparent with their rosters. It also helps publicize their players, which is why it's odd nobody else does it.
