Good point. |
The Dems did not win the congressional vote 55-45 in 2024. The Rs won it by 2.73% https://www.cookpolitical.com/vote-tracker/2024/house |
Yes, they do that so they can weight final results. They don’t want over representation of one party or the other. The issue is what they use to figure out what the correct weighting is when there are large shifts in partisan identification over a pretty short time. If they are still using the split from Nov 2024 that’s going to hugely overweight republicans. |
| It might be what MAGA voted for, but remember, Trump didn't even get a majority of the votes. |

The problem is, and has always been, the media and the way information is conveyed. If you're in your rightwing influencer bubble and believe every word they say, of course you're going to have a very different opinion that the rest of the world. Some Republicans probably snapped out of it if they say some of the Renee Good videos, but if they were only watching Fox news and the video they showed that appeared to bump the ICE officer, with all the commentary going in the direction of intentional violence against him... the majority of not-super-bright viewers will just accept that as gospel.
The media IS the problem. And left wing media is problematic too, in its own way - it's just currently, it's not outright lying to the American people like the other side is doing. |
Which outlets are "left wing" as opposed to, you know, just telling the truth? Because I can name the several right wing outlets and platforms that do nothing but lie, including now, CBS. |
PP you replied to. Well I was mostly thinking back to pre-debate Biden days when the leftwing media were not asking hard-hitting questions about his fitness, at a time when the rightwing media was already all over it... which they were correct to do. They unearthed videos that leftwing media never showed, and dissected them, and they were entirely accurate in their assessment that he was too old for the job. Funny how they can't seem to make an accurate assessment today with Trump, even though he's now in worse shape than Biden. All media just presents their own version of reality, but some media are worse than others. |
