Trump is a loser. Only the truly stupid and deeply racist bigots support him now. I’m hoping not a single republican wins in the upcoming midterms.

CNN has Trump's approval rating at 36 percent. That is a catastrophic number for a president. And that number will continue to decline as Trump doubles down on tariffs and more inflation. Not to mention his warmongering, which none of his MAGA supporters voted for. Plus Epstein. He's even deeply underwater with immigration - his signature issue. Throw in the daily clown show and his shrill tantrums and I suspect his approval ratings will be in the low 20s by November.

Every midterm election is a referendum on the sitting president. This is shaping up to be a massive blue wave election. Democrats seem to be doing a good job with recruiting strong candidates and are even targeting districts that Trump won by 15 points. I do think Democrats have a very good chance of taking not just the House but the Senate too. The GOP is going to regret going all in with Trump - as everyone does who has ever associated with Trump.

CNN finds approval to be
26% among independents
25% among voters under 35
23% among respondents of color

These were all in the 40's last February.

By far the weakest POTUS candidate to ever win two POTUS elections. Inexcusable sign of irreversible dysfunction in our political system ruled by two corrupt political parties. We must do better!

The one thought I try to soothe myself with is that these people choose to consume Fox News which never report on anything bad Trump does and spends their days inflaming them about supposed crimes by immigrants and trans people.

Maybe if they had a better news source they would feel the same way as the rest of the country.

We’re already hearing excuses similar to the ones lots of Germans gave during post-war de-Nazification. They’d be like “I’m innocent! I just wanted the Jews out of Germany. I didn’t like that we slaughtered them!”
