Everyone has, but for some bizarre reason, Madlax parents are able to check their conscious at the door and not only give that guy their money, but their son son that it's morally ok to condone that kind of behavior. Luckily there are other equal or better options and his club is declining.

And some complete morons are now giving him their daughters!

Word is there was nobody at the Madlax girls tryouts. The Visitation coach is great, but hard to start a club. I wouldn't hitch my wagon to that guy.

I believe there were several Landon and Bullis kids on the DC Express 2021 team.

To quote one of the Founding Fathers of club lax in the DMV...

Ungrateful Quitters!!

My son played for DCE 2021 and made the team again but he did not want to play for them again and we as his parents were not pushing him to reup. He is at a HS with a competitive lacrosse program and was not interested in DCE. Nothing to do with being ungrateful. Hate to disappoint you.

I got the joke, PP. Good one!

I do wonder what happened to that 2021 team. They are actively looking for players. Do you think when those BLC dads last their long-time hold on the teams to real coaches they pulled their sons?

Both Visitation coaches are with Pride, not MadLax.

Megills are awesome guys, but their program was terrible. Latching onto Bethesda and Express was all about taking advantage of one great team (2021). Hard to sustain that because the rest of Performance is crude and rest of Bethesda is just a youth rec program. Once those guys split up to go to different HS, the trinity was doomed to fall apart.

I think Megills just assumed boys would return but did not cultivate relationships with existing families. You can't take people for granted and expect them to fork over thousands of dollars just for a name. If they want to create a brand, they need to put effort into offering something that will draw people in other than a name. Maybe they think they can just trade on the more established LI Express.

That was our family's experience

The 2021 team was a very talented anomaly - a group that had a lot of talent from the beginning. Period. Their reputation was not enough to build a program and now that the team has split, all bets are off. Some who bought into the hype of DCE are rumbling behind the scenes and quietly shopping around. The $3-4 full-year investment that they were forced to pay upfront was a tough pill to swallow but it has had the desired effect -- it has locked kids in place for the year no matter how unhappy the start has been. I'm hearing plenty of buyers remorse stories.

Some high school coaches want their players to play together in a fall league and not disbursed in different clubs playing with players from other high schools. So, that could be the cause of a possible exodus for DCE. Fall league much cheaper than club fees.

They should check out Crabs and VLC. Rosters seem light.

When you say "split," how many DCE 2021s have actually left?

Ex St Johns too. Wonder why she moves around so much. And why did she leave St Johns so quickly?

This makes sense. RIP DCE 2021.
