Black Ops for WSYL

Yes, at least one club has released the day, time, and place for tryouts this weekend. Others should hear soon.

Tryouts are at PVI Saturday afternoon according to VLC, only place they could get fields. 2 hour tryouts for each team between 2-6PM. Also out of state kids from programs in Texas and FL will be there.

No they aren't and even if they attempt it won't make it through the WSYL screening.

the tournament eligibility rules clearly say 100 mile rule and that birth certificates and proof of where the player goes to school are needed (report card, etc).

I also heard some out of state players were coming and that they had family in the area but I can't see how they'd get around the area school requirement.

Is there going to be a black ops B team?

PVI - False

Saturday, 2-6 PM, 2 hours per team - True

Kids from TX and FL flying in for tryouts - Laughably false; sort of like the "four" Hawks holdbacks!

Is black ops only for wsyl? Or will there be black ops teams for other age groups to form a “National Team” for elite tournaments? Sorta like Madlax Nationals?

They have said they will do grade based teams for other national events.

More than “a few.”

I love the way the Hawks dads stalk a forum that has nothing to do with them.

Keep telling yourself that.

That is a really good question. They say there will be other tournaments besides WSYL, but I am struggling to see how that would work.

Somebody asked earlier if Black Ops will have a B team, and it is starting to look like they will have three B teams - BLC, VLC, and NextLevel.

Relax, the focus is WS. They will see how it goes and the level of interest. If Black Ops lays an egg at regionals it will probably just fade away.

Philly area did this a few years back with the big five team and this summer Saliente Key is players now play on multiple clubs. This will only help the home clubs
