Black Ops for WSYL

Fake news on 22s. DCE just got ranked #3 and not sure where Madlax is at that age but DCE beat them by 10 over the summer.

Before this discussion goes further off the rails, I am the poster who commented that a well-coached all star team of MadLax, NextLevel, VLC, and BLC would be competitive with Hawks and Tigers. I was referring to the 2026 class, not the older or younger grades referenced in the last couple of posts.

For those not familiar with 2026, Tigers XXVI is a very strong seventh grade team from PA or NJ coached by Princeton alums. In this particular age group, Hawks and Tigers are the two teams to beat. MadLax once came within 4 of Tigers, and VLC once came within 4 of Hawks. Four goals may not sound like much, but any of the four local teams in their current configuration would need a lot of breaks to actually beat one of those two.

But an all star team of the four local programs would be competitive and it looks like that is what Black Ops is doing. I hope they can pull it off.

Thanks for the clarification.

Madlax 22’s ranked #1 by USClubLax

Now that is wierd, how can the #3 team beat the #1 team by ten goals??? Gee I just can't imagine what happened.

But seriously this is a thread about Black Ops, the WSYL team for 2025's and 2026's. If you want to debate the 2022 teams, start a fresh thread on that topic.

One thing that will be interesting to see is if teams like Tigers and Hawks who will mainly stay in tack (with a few replacements for hold backs) will be able to beat newly formed teams like Monument and Black Ops. Which is better, talent or chemistry?

More than “a few.”

Another top team in the U13 bracket is Towermen out of northern NJ. Highly ranked team that beat the Tigers at NLF tournament in Hershey this past summer. Also a one age group organization. Hawks, Tigers and Towermen likely will qualify leaving one spot up for grabs.

I love the way the Hawks dads stalk a forum that has nothing to do with them.

Madlax 2022–#fakeranking.

Just look at commits from that team and compare to DCE or Hawks.

For what it is worth the previous post about 2023 is also not accurate. No way Next Level is top 5. May not be top 20

Madlax 22’s ranked #1 by USClubLax

Ummm, no they aren't by USClublax. They weren't even top 10 and those were in the pre-season rankings and have not been updated by the site. Good try though as the lemmings on this site will just blindly respond rather than look it up.

Getting back to the topic. Has anyone heard anything about tryouts?
