Her display case in the dining/lounge/kitchen/entry looks like a display case a Kohls for dinnerware. That was supposed to go upstairs but doesn't fit with the couch.
those cases were in their old office. And yes, they thought the upstairs was much larger. I think they thought the kitchen was larger as well. I think they should move the master bedroom upstairs and make the down stairs a large great room. The deck doesn’t look like it’s being utilized snd they could build an office and master bath up their as well and still have a hang out spot.

This is such a gross thread. I don’t understand the internet ... they share 20 mins of their day with you... and you are saying their kids are isolated??? How would you know???? How do you know what activities they are or aren’t in? They don’t have to share their kids lives with you. And honestly better yet. , why do you all follow people just to say hateful things about. I pray that you all can find some
Peace in your lives... if this is the hate you share I feel that this is jealousy. Click unfollow and leave these people alone. Let’s all try and choose kindness and please try and tenement they are not sharing their entire lives with you... you would not like strangers on the internet judging what goes on in your four walls... please don’t do it to others

Don’t like being judged by what you share on your public Insta, where your income depends on followers? Then being an influencer might not be the job for you. So get a real job and deactivate.

I think they have already split their master bedroom in half and are going to use the half with the fireplace as a game room. On her stories, she said they moved the round table from their kitchen "somewhere else" and I think it's in their master bedroom in front of the fireplace and they build a closet to divide the bed from the rest of the room. So now they've effectively split that room in half since they were already using it as a family room anyway. I think that's what they should have done in the first place, so it's great.

You make your bed (i.e. go back and forth about how much you are going to share on the internet - everything, nothing, everything, a little bit, everything, we need privacy!), you lie in it. This claim of "we need privacy" seems really disingenuous when you're telling us everything about everything for so long, share floor plans of all your houses, and then freak out over one stupid hallway that everyone already knew was there.

I really do think they need to quit again.

They haven't posted anything to their instagram feed in a year, but the stories are almost manic? I don't get their strategy unless they have decided to coast to an early retirement.

So lucky to have unloaded those beach houses when they did. Even if they just broke even, they didn't have to carry them through the pandemic.

Are you being sarcastic? I bet they are really sad about the timing - obviously they could never have predicted what would happen, but with the kids in virtual school, they could have lived in their pink house full-time through the pandemic and I'm SURE they would have found long-term renters for their duplex. I know several people who did month long beach rentals over the past year. And then they would have been able to sell this spring or summer and made a KILLING. They just had really unfortunately timing.

That beach house was perfect - I have no idea why they didn't just move to Cape Charles full time, they clearly loved it there.

I don't understand the beach house point. Have you tried renting an AirBnB lately? Everything is booked. People don't want to stay in hotels, but want out of their homes. Large AirBnBs may have been harder to rent out last summer, but small AirBnbs for a single family are huge right now.

Posting to an IG gets little interaction. Apparently, posting to stories improves the algorithm from what I heard from other IG people I follow.

They basically have, haven't they?

The algorithm rewards reels, saves, and shares (the paper airplane) right now, so posting to the feed is important for growth.

I've been following them this whole time and I can't figure out where the hallway goes... they said it's part of the original footprint of the house and it has doors on both sides. Where is it, under the stairs?

As for the privacy thing... I think the entire blogging thing was a Pandora's box for a lot of bloggers. I understand what they are trying to do, it's just very late in the game.

It’s not just that. Sherry really struggles with criticism (I think she’s admitted it herself) and people would give tons of feedback, tips, and critiques on the posts- sometimes nice, sometimes not. She used to respond to every comment on their blog. By not posting she doesn’t have to deal with the public comments and criticism.

Also, most importantly, they can still shill by linking all their IKEA and Target crap in their stories. Win win! I wonder how much cash they bring in off those swipe ups. I think it is so disappointing how, with their huge platform and focus on design and decor, they don’t hardly ever promote small shops or antiques or individual stores. Everything is IKEA and target. It is ridiculous

We've vacationed there (and saw their houses, they are very cute!). I can understand not wanting to live there full time. It does feel pretty isolated IMO and you can't have that summer-outdoors lifestyle year round, which is why they wanted to move to Florida. Cape Charles is nice for a few months in the summer but I don't think it would be a nice place to live in the winter when it's too cold to use the beach.
