Do you all think she's having some sort of weird mid-life crisis? Her instastories are NUTS. She has crazy eyes, she only ever talks about how skinny she is (and she wears clothes that are 2 sizes too small). She's trying to look like a 14 year old. She also has that nasty hair that she never washes or brushes. GET A HAIRCUT Sherry!! I wonder if John is going to divorce her. He seems so normal. |
I think she looks great. |
She’s just super skinny. If you follow the blog, her mom has the same build. They’re bloggers. I think there’s probably a big divide between their public persona and the stuff they share online - and what they’re like as people at home in private. |
lol John is never going to divorce her. She’s the driving force behind their blog/podcast. She’s his meal ticket. Their brand is nothing without her, but it would easily survive his departure. |
She is nuts!! And their design sense has not evolved. They are very boring. |
She might be cray but I’m drooling over the trim work in the bathroom. Molding is my new obsession - it transforms a room and makes it look so classy. |
Wanted to update here, because they just moved to Florida. Wow. All of the stories show a lot. Apparently they drove straight and used the bathroom with Pee bags that Sherry displayed. She already said they packed way too much stuff in their pod and it does not fit in the house so they will have to downsize again. Anyone else watching this disaster? |
I don’t think it’s a disaster! I like them and like that they made a huge change. I find it inspiring. Also I keep thinking I dislike sherry but damnit I find her charming. I look forward to their podcast each week. |
The downsizing aspect is interesting considering they are bloggers. Bloggers seem to acquire so much stuff. |
I love me some yhl. Let these haters hate |
I used to really like them too. I got very tired of sherry constantly talking about minimalism while simultaneously displaying tons of Knick knacks and swipeups to countless target products. They talk about “downsizing” but always have something new to sell (and she is not upfront about the fact that these are affiliate links that they make money off of). It also really seems like their kids got a raw deal with this move. Having to move during a pandemic to a much smaller house where the bedrooms are tiny, especially one child’s, while the parents have a massive master bedroom (all posted on their blog). |
To be fair, they made the decision to move before the pandemic. Once you’re in the middle of selling your house AND you’ve already purchased a new house, it’s very hard to put the brakes on a move. Though as far as the kids go, I actually think the pandemic timing makes it easier. They’re not missing out on school or camps or even able to see their friends in Richmond. The move is exciting and gives them something to do and talk about. I predict that they stay in this house for 4 years. I bet they move to a bigger house right before their daughter starts high school. The size of this house seems like an over correction for them. They’re into minimalism and downsizing right now, but when their kids are teens I think they’re all going to want more space. Plus, they’re going to want more space to have guests visit in Florida. They have no room to host anyone right now. |
I can't believe they bought that house with that cave of a kitchen. It reminds me of my very first apartment and no amount of easter egg colored cabinets is going to make it better. It's closed off from the living area and dark with low ceilings but also the center of the house. They will end up spending so much time in that closet of a kitchen while they cook dinner and kids do homework, etc. Blech. |
The house is too small for a family of four. I feel bad for her kids, they took them away from a beautiful home in Richmond where they lived near cousins and grandparents all so Sherry could live by the beach. The son's room is essentially a closet. I've always thought that they were selfish, it was clear that the kids didn't do activities because they were always free to head to Cape Charles all fall and spring, but this sealed the deal. |
The house layout is horrible. Awful. You walk out of the living room master bedroom into the fridge. The kitchen is awful and there’s no living area space downstairs. The bedrooms are tiny. Their furniture is too big for the space and they brought too much and have to cut down even more. I have no idea why they didn’t just buy a Florida vacation house ... this is their permanent residence now. |
