We will be perfectly happy at Breakthrough. They have wonderful guides and we have done Montessori before. The Tier 3 does not scare me. I know a school is bigger than a star rating or a Tier.

Swami thinks Montessori is where its at this year with CHML swinging and Lee opening a second campus. Settle in at Breakthrough and lobby for a healthier school lunch.

Swami thanks you for this list and is surprised the StokesF list is "shorter" than the Lee list. Swami says post on the listserv and embed in the Brookland Burroughs community, but also don't be surprise when your MV8 list moves really really really close to doable. Keep a paper copy of your enrollment paperwork, because you might be surprised.

Thanks for not laughing at me, Swami I'll check the wait lists in August but meanwhile start sourcing yellow polo shirts!

We are IB at Ludlow Taylor for Prek3, number 6 on the waitlist.

I called the school and they said we are in "excellent" shape. But last year's waitlist numbers were brutal--no one let in in June, 2 or 3 in august, then 6 in October. But that year was a total outlier. What is going on? Do we have hope, Swami?

LT parent, I have heard there are a lot of siblings this Pk3 year. Fingers crossed for summer waitlist movement!

Our youngest is #3 on the WL for Cleveland Spanish (English dominant) and #7 on the Cleveland English, with sibling attending preference on the Spanish track, but no IB preference. It looks like the Spanish side WL has not budged one kid in the past several years. Could this year be different, given the draw of the new MV campus?

No.

If I understand your situation right, PKs sib CANNOT take a sibling preference spot at current mediumly-regarded charter if the 1st grade sib does not enroll there.
