Racist word printer incident? Did students approach their counselors when that happened and did those same counselors and/or administrators do nothing? |
A teacher found the printer with the racist word, not a student. That teacher approached an acting assistant principal who was not asked to become an official administrator for the following year. |
The acting assistant principal involved left abruptly midyear, just like Doug Nelson. That was unusual as well. A retired principal came in to fill her slot for the rest of the year. |
Wooton is fine
Look at its rankings This is normal MAGA loves to complain Please move OOS to a red state don’t send your kids to wootton |
Wootton has been postponed for renovation repeatedly. Boundaries are going to be re-drawn when Crown and Woodward high schools are opened. The superintendent wants to create six zones around the county so there is “equitable” programming. All of that leads to uncertainty. Teachers like to know where they will be teaching, what they will be teaching, and who they will be teaching. All of that is up in the air right now. |
Sure, but that same uncertainty is present in nearly every school right now. |
True. But Wootton has it in addition to all the upheaval of the last few years. |
The assistant principal who left last year was not an acting assistant principal. She was also not involved in the racist word on a printer situation. |
Wooton is too racially charged right now (for real and imagined slights and incidents). Along with a building badly in need of a renovation. New principal is good in some ways but very bad in others (bordering on unethical behavior in trying to improve the graduation rate). Stressful place at the moment to teach or be a counselor. |
Boundary changes? What? No. No one even brings that up. Only families care about that. |
Did Central Office ever reach out to the teachers and counselors who left to try to figure out why? |
You’re joking, right? |
Seriously had to laugh -DP |
Just got some dirt that Seyoum was seen in the school building at Magruder late in the evening packing up her office and a teacher asked what was going on and she just laughed. It was obvious she was leaving, but no one was saying anything. It makes you wonder if she put in for a transfer and Ascienzo (Magruder principal) didn't know anything until the last minute because that position is technically still empty at Magruder (new AP starts on 9/15). |
Are you saying that with everything going on at Wootton that Central Office is putting week admin into the vacant positions? Wouldn't that just make the Wootton problem worse? |
