Why?

A lot of speculation with no substance going on here. There is currently 2.8 FTE posted - 1.0 Spanish, 1.0 Staff Dev/Classroom, and 0.8 Science. This doesn’t match “dozens” at the end of the year.

This only means what jobs are still open, not how many have been posted and filled.

Many have contemplated leaving. Staff doesn’t feel supported by the administration and/or by MCPS. And just the general uncertainty and upheaval of the last year or so has taken a toll.

5 counselors including RC left Wootton. Enough said.

News flash. Admin is not there to support. They are there to do coverups and then fire people. Once you start blaming them then they have to do more coverups and fire more people .

A staff member counted and 27 staff have left Wootton and won’t be back next year. Four department heads, five of eight counselors, two of the four assistant principals, and the other two AP’s were newbies last year.

ass-aulting athletes and teachers were fired for finding out what was going on. We are suppose to be mandatory reporter but coverups must take priority.

So 90% of a sudden burst of openings filled? I guess the jobs are still desirable.
