Political Discussion

The shut down and shout- down culture of the political parties alienates people We are telling you we are feeling alienated. We will tell you with our vote too. |
By shutting people down? |
Sounds like this is an issue you should resolve with a psychiatrist, not a voting booth. |
You don't see that you are doing this too? |
NP. I have my own feelings about the trans women debates, but think the situation is more complex than you want to pretend it is. BUT Anyone whose primary issue going into a presidential election is transgender people (who is not transgender) has some serious problems. Trump is a major deviant. There are no justifications for voting for that man. I suspect you are also a deviant if you spend lots of time thinking about transgender people when you are not one and put that at the top of your issues of concern list. You think THAT is the most pressing thing facing our country? You think the POTUS is going to spend lots of time on THAT? You think that justifies voting for a lying, cheating, philandering, sexually-harassing, convicted felon who is a traitor to this country? WTF is wrong with you? |
Exactly. The GOP wrote the book on the current political culture. The winner-takes-all, never-compromise culture of politics goes back decades and can be traced to the GOP. Look back to Gingrich and his buddies. They started this culture of seeing the other party as the enemy instead of co-workers with different opinions. They started the culture of refusing to compromise and considering compromising "losing". They are the ones who won't come to the table now in good faith and have some pretty crazy members who'd like to burn it all down. So if you are saying what you said at the top and then saying that you vote Republican, you are either abysmally stupid or a complete hypocrite. |
Telling you that you’ve lost the vote is isnt shutting you down. |
Married to the gubmint, as they say. |
Yeah like when did Joe Biden announce a draft? And hasn't it been established that in fact NO there is no grand coordinated scheme to "discuss" things like CRT or trans issues in schools? |
Why are your cursing at people who have different politics than you? Calm down. |
That's exactly what it is. |
Like the decades of work that got us Title 9? |
Ridiculous. You are not entitled to someone’s vote. |
DP. I used to consider myself a feminist. I don't call myself that anymore because the definition of feminism has changed, and it now signifies an embrace of progressive or Marxist agendas. It also requires a full scale buy-in of identity politics and a belief that white women are the root of evil. Being a feminist means hating Caitlin Clarke because she is a white basketball player, claiming that there isn't enough "evidence" that Israeli women were raped by Hamas on October 7, and calling all republican women brainless handmaids. Keep the title. I don't want it anymore. |

NP. This thread indicates to me that the only issue that animates republican feminism is protecting women from transgender women on the field and in dressing rooms and bathrooms.
Are there any other women’s issues that concern republican feminists? |
