The shut down and shout- down culture of the political parties alienates people

We are telling you we are feeling alienated. We will tell you with our vote too.

Sounds like this is an issue you should resolve with a psychiatrist, not a voting booth.

I do think they are being overly sexualized though dress and social media. And people are saying it’s okay as it’s about identity and personal liberty. Ok, it’s also about sexualization at a young age. That does make them targets for people who do not wish them well.

It’s a bit jarring to see so many kids in skimpy outfits, posting photos, male or female or third gender.

Nice try shifting the conversation to a more sympathetic face of the transgender agenda, but I’m talking about the adult men playing out sexual fetishes who Democrats have given the “right” to invade women’s spaces. I’ve encountered several of them in just the past six months and I won’t tolerate being yelled at by liars who don’t want to hear inconvenient facts.

Good luck posting about it on here. The moderator once debated claiming that human are not a sexually dimorphic species and therefore men could become women.

Oh, I know the crossdressing men and their handmaids will summon him shortly to delete responses. Too bad for them that he can’t stop us from voting against their agenda.

OP, if you want to know why many of us are voting Republican, RFK, or staying home, start here. When a party throws open women’s spaces to perhaps the most predatory subgroup of men in existence and attacks women who speak out, those of us who aren’t delusional handmaids will abandon ship.

And this is just ONE of the many issues on which Democrats are dangerous, fascistic, and insane.

That's actually factually incorrect. Trans people are actually far less likely to be predatory and are far more likely to be the victims of crimes than the perpetrators of them. And saying that isn't "silencing" you, it's stating a fact. There are a handful of cases that got a lot of attention but overall, that is the fact. You're entitled to believe whatever you like but it's not true.

Nice try gaming the stats with that silly talking point, but let’s dive deeper.

1. Men who claim to be women are far more likely to be victims only of OTHER MEN and this is because men who claim to be women engage in sex work at very high rates.

2. Women do not victimize men who claim to women.

3. Men who claim to be women are more likely to rape and attack women and children than men who don’t cross dress.

NP. I have my own feelings about the trans women debates, but think the situation is more complex than you want to pretend it is.

BUT

Anyone whose primary issue going into a presidential election is transgender people (who is not transgender) has some serious problems.

Trump is a major deviant. There are no justifications for voting for that man. I suspect you are also a deviant if you spend lots of time thinking about transgender people when you are not one and put that at the top of your issues of concern list. You think THAT is the most pressing thing facing our country? You think the POTUS is going to spend lots of time on THAT? You think that justifies voting for a lying, cheating, philandering, sexually-harassing, convicted felon who is a traitor to this country?

WTF is wrong with you?

Exactly. The GOP wrote the book on the current political culture.

The winner-takes-all, never-compromise culture of politics goes back decades and can be traced to the GOP. Look back to Gingrich and his buddies. They started this culture of seeing the other party as the enemy instead of co-workers with different opinions. They started the culture of refusing to compromise and considering compromising "losing". They are the ones who won't come to the table now in good faith and have some pretty crazy members who'd like to burn it all down.

So if you are saying what you said at the top and then saying that you vote Republican, you are either abysmally stupid or a complete hypocrite.

Exactly. We disagree with you OP. Shocking to you, I know.

Disagreeing with us is one thing. Disagreeing with your own self interests and bodily autonomy is what confounds us.

How am I disagreeing with my own self interests when I pay $90 at the grocery store to feed my family for 2-3 days?

How am I disagreeing with my own self interests when I don’t want my son to get drafted into Joe Bidens war?

How am I disagreeing with my own self interests when I don’t feel safe in my own DC neighborhood late at night?

How am I disagreeing with my own self interests when I don’t want my 8 year old taught some of the things that are now “discussed” in public schools?

You're disagreeing with reality.

Yeah like when did Joe Biden announce a draft? And hasn't it been established that in fact NO there is no grand coordinated scheme to "discuss" things like CRT or trans issues in schools?

We have a terrible maternal death rate, that is exponentially worse for Black women. Women have lost access to safe health care and voting rights.

I also feel sad for the one trans woman we know who is at least 6’2 or 6’3”. She has an amazing family and is a mother of teens and would never hurt anyone. That she has to deal with this level of hate is incredible.

Democrats always think they own feminism. Nope. Look at the number of disrespectful comments here from liberals insisting GOP women are misled or following their husbands.

- Feminist Republican

Sorry. You’re actively supporting the party that wants to erase women’s rights entirely. You are not a feminist.

lol I really don’t care what your opinion is and neither do the rest of GOP women. Your exclusionary views are exactly what turns us away. Yawn.

Wow. "I don't care what your opinion is" and "your exclusionary views turn us away" unironically used side by side.
You need a bit more self-awareness.

How completely disingenuous of you. You know perfectly well that was in reference to being told “you are not a feminist” and no, women like me do not care that liberals declare this as if they are the only people on earth who get to define feminism. That kind of haughty exclusion is a huge turnoff. Dont pretend this was a comment about a fair exchange of ideas on the merits, it was about a personal insult and why that sort of language is not persuasive to conservative women.

I didn't personally insult anyone, you do know there are multiple posters here, right? That said, you are the arrogant and haughty one here. You are excluding literally all of the decades of work on feminism done by the community to try and shut it down and override it with your own narrow and exclusionary personal view.

Like the decades of work that got us Title 9?

DP. I used to consider myself a feminist. I don't call myself that anymore because the definition of feminism has changed, and it now signifies an embrace of progressive or Marxist agendas. It also requires a full scale buy-in of identity politics and a belief that white women are the root of evil. Being a feminist means hating Caitlin Clarke because she is a white basketball player, claiming that there isn't enough "evidence" that Israeli women were raped by Hamas on October 7, and calling all republican women brainless handmaids. Keep the title. I don't want it anymore.

NP. This thread indicates to me that the only issue that animates republican feminism is protecting women from transgender women on the field and in dressing rooms and bathrooms.

Are there any other women’s issues that concern republican feminists?
