It doesn’t necessarily mean her cancer is more serious.

Three people I worked with had chemo and took little time off and looked fine (although did lose hair). I realize that’s not the case for everyone going thru chemo but the modern options are much less toxic and if she’s getting the very toxic kind that suggests to me that the cancer is very bad.

One I know worked right through treatment. Another took time off a month into treatment and was hospitalized three times due to side effects from chemo. There was a period of time where treatment was almost as dangerous as the cancer. The chemo was attacking her lungs even though she didn't have lung cancer.

Nobody is required to tough it out and work through cancer, and nobody else should be judging as some here have suggested Catherine shouldn't be taking time off.

Some cannot afford to take months off and not work. She has every right to retreat with her family. Her life is not easy.

OMG! Minus her cancer, she has one of the easiest lifestyle of any human on earth. She doesn’t have to cook, clean or even take care of the kids. No financial worries, no paying bills. Any door she wants opened, gets opened. Pretty soon George will be in boarding school. So she has to got to a few events every week.

She has cancer for gods sake. Stop being a ghoul and respect her privacy.

She’s a public figure!

Come on. She’s one of the few people who desperately wanted this life enough to devote herself to a decade long interview otherwise know as dating royalty. Privacy was never something she valued—just the opposite.

As others have pointed out you're being a ghoul. Stop trolling and get a life. She has cancer--at her best she won't want to be traipsing around and have her appearance dissected by millions of people--at her worst she won't be able to get out of bed. All previous committments are off.

Not saying anything about her retreat. I wish her well. My response was to “her life is not easy”. Easiest life there is, going to events and dressing up in new outfits multiple times a day. Very difficult.

You are a simpleton. Being in the public eye constantly is not easy. Don’t you remember poor Meghan and Harry crying about how hard it is? It not easy to live life in a guided cage or having a complete lack of private agency. it’s also dangerous. If you remember, Princess Diana was chased to her death by the paparazzi.

Actually H&M were crying because they couldn’t go out because the BRF offered no security for Meghan or his child. And W&K have privacy in their homes and on the BRF different grounds. The only time they are in the public is at events or when they are trying to get good PR by visiting local pubs.

And admitting it’s dangerous is all the more reason H&M should have and still have security.

Just stop the stupid comments. A person suffering from cancer is not entertaining. Again, these thread should not be allowed on the Entertainment and Pop Culture forum.

It’s not entertainment but they are celebrity heads of state not political ones so where should this news go? “Birth family” was not something the OP made up out of thin air. This is a real story from sources close to the royals

These aren’t real stories.

There are millions of people with easier lives than Kate. Every rich person you've never heard of has an easier life by far. Every rich person you have heard of who doesn't have to be perfect has an easier life. I'd say even most fairly wealthy people have easier lives than Kate.
I'm a single childless middle aged woman with a mortgage and no career to speak of, and I wouldn't trade places with her for a second.

Her life is not as easy or cushy as you make it. Maybe she doesn’t want the kids at boarding school. She has cancer. You think that is easy. She doesn’t have to go to events because you demand it. She has plenty of worries.

I doubt we have the real story. Preventative chemo does not require you to not be seen for an entire year. And it’s not just that people are demanding her to do events but she hasn’t even been seen outside of that fugazi farm stand sighting since December. And it’s not being a ghoul to wonder why her entire family has disappeared or why William didn’t help them financially or with the press attacks when their business failed. Or why a single Middleton wasn’t invited to the garden party he hosted when we were told for years Carole was like a second mum to him. Meanwhile Camilla has made a point of being photographed with Rose Hanbury multiple times.

If I had serious cancer I would not spend my remaining time doing dumb events cutting ribbons so more power to Kate if that is what she has chosen. However it seems more likely that she’s having some sort of marital issue since her birth family is either giving or receiving the cold shoulder from her spouse who seems completely fine despite her allegedly being seriously ill.

Also is this ghoul poster a bot? Just so weird that the same language is used in these posts over and over.

Chemo can really be a living hell for some. Let her fight this and heal her own way. Whatever uplifts her is good. She no longer owes the public anything. Her health comes first.

In her video announcing her diagnosis she looked completely fine and supposedly had already started chemo. But now she’s bald and physically decimated behind the scenes? I agree she doesn’t owe the public an appearance but I do think she does owe them silence rather than misinformation i

Unreliable sources. It’s not being reported by People or even Us Weekly - it’s worse than junk. Google it - it’s not news. And this thread was started as if it were fact, which is just ridiculous.

Hair loss does not start until a couple of weeks in. She has just started treatment at that time. And nobody said she was physically decimated - I wasn’t during chemo - but I was bald and while my wig worked okay for me in public, it wouldn’t cut it for a princess whose appearance is a big part of her brand.

How long does it take to grow shoulder length hair back?

DP but I’ve heard two years. I’m going through chemo now. :)
