Karl Frisch running for House of Delegates

Even if it was 1 yr, she's still more educated and experienced than Karl. But, does anyone know how long she taught 4th grade?

LinkedIn says 6 years.

Unnecessary.

Easy enough to point out what he has done and not done to deserve electoral rejection.

No one cares about your name calling

Apparently you do.

He’s a blowhard without a college degree who has accomplished nothing in office, wasted taxpayer money, neglected the needs of kids, and somehow thinks he should be rewarded for his poor performance with additional responsibility. Hilarious.

Wow, he’s got a lot in common with the Governor! I’ll bet you like that guy though- maybe because he’s homophobic too?

Youngkin has a BA and an MBA, and made a fortune in business. Frisch has a high school diploma and depends on his political patrons to line him up for low-paying jobs where he still manages to mess up. Youngkin also doesn't cry fake tears every time he's interviewed, unlike weepy man-baby Karl.

"Fairfax recently published a nine-page “Student Health and Safety Guidance Document” that mandates meals in the classroom, daily temperature checks and face coverings for anyone older than 2. The document also forbids balls and ropes on the playground, and urges school staff to teach kids “games or recess activities that minimize close physical contact.”

But Fairfax school board member Karl Frisch doubts any of those preparations will be sufficient. He was struggling to make up his mind about the best strategy for fall until last week, when someone asked him what his partner, a Fairfax teacher, plans to do.

Now, Frisch is pushing for an all-virtual start.

“It didn’t sink in, until then, that I was in a position to put him in danger,” Frisch said in an interview, starting to cry. “I would not be able to live with myself if something happened to him, or anybody else.”

He added: “I hope to God I’m wrong. But when schools reopen, people are going to die.”"

Blech.

Oh, wow, I didn't think anything could make me like Karl any less than I do already, and then you brought this blast-from-the-past back! And I'm a parent who actually chose the virtual option for my kid, and when I read this at the time, even I cringed. I remember thinking, "You're on the SCHOOL BOARD and you are terrified of schoolchildren. And see no need to prioritize the mental and social health of children. Wow." Let's look at how student learning outcomes dropped while he was on the Board...This man cannot be trusted with any more responsibility, he's a reactionary who only thinks of himself.

Ugh. In the words of Jean-Ralphio, he is "the wooOOOooOOOorst."

Karl Frisch is a narcissistic, self-centered person without a college degree, without children, and without any first-hand experience with FCPS as a student, teacher, administrator, or parent. His lack of qualifications for the position he currently holds are matched only by his lack of qualifications for the position to which, having failed to discharge his responsibilities properly in his current role for three years, he now aspires.

He's useless. I've really never disliked a "politician" of my own party as much as I dislike him. He's a fool. A total fool.

It’s clear that he had no qualifications for the school board position. So who the f voted for him in 2019? How could his opponent been any worse?

Frisch's opponent endorsed by the Republicans was extremely right-wing (probably further right of even Elizabeth Schultz) and of course had no chance running in a year when local voters were keen to vote for Democratic candidates to signal their opposition to Trump.

The problem was that a much better candidate had sought the Democratic endorsement in 2019, but she focused on boring education issues rather than spouting off all the progressive talking points, and wasn't as much of a party boot-licker as Frisch, so she couldn't get the FCDC endorsement.

Yes, his opponent was really extreme... I think her entire platform was just being against sex ed in the classroom. It was very hard to vote for her.

Who else sought the Democratic endorsement in 2019? Is this public knowledge? I only remember him.

Jung Byun, a highly educated data scientist who campaigned to bring more analytical rigor to FCPS decision making. But no match for a political hack with no degree whose entire shtick was how groundbreaking it would be to elect someone LBGTQ.

Would have been better than Andi Beyer or Karl Frisch, that's for sure.

I don’t like anything Karl Frisch has done as a school board member and I don’t want him anywhere near the House, but can people stop personally attacking him? I get that he’s signed up to be a public figure, but some of these posts are just wrong.

How??? How is anyone personally attacking him? The discussion here is no different than saying Trump did nothing to advance climate change. Karl Frisch did nothing to advance school policy in anyway that benefits students. In fact, he worked against students 100% of the time. He’s useless.
