I think liberals are gonna be surprised when after the war they realize that Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Hungary aren’t suddenly gonna turn into neoliberal racially englightened places.

You need to find out exactly when the emergency order of no visas were issued. In the early days of the invasion, border control authorities were following the policy in place. As it always happens in war, I am pretty sure everyone including border guards were confused about the new emergency order.

PP here. I know responding to you is a waste of time, but I’ll do it this once. If you cannot see a difference between pushing people from completely neutral countries off trains to their deaths purely out of racism versus fighting enemies who are also trying to kill you, then you are beyond help. Ukraine’s armed forces are full of neo-nazis and these neo-nazis have popular support. But that doesn’t matter because Ukraine is 100% good and Russia is 100% bad right now per American propaganda. Just like how the mujahideen of Afghanistan were cast as brave freedom fighters in the 80s. Americans never learn.

The group of Nigerian students were at the wrong train, they were supposed to be getting on different trains, to get taken to Romania, not Poland - per the Nigerian embassy itself.

Sure, the issue isn't about race when you see the token black or brown student who crossed. And if you cared to read before commenting, another person provided a link about the black Maryland basketball player unable to get out. He is an American, so obviously no visa needed. But no one to help him. If he were white things would be different.

You choose what you want to read. The previous poster is correct. No use talking to racists like you who defend racist behaviour. I'm done too.
