Mainstream what?

The mainstream of voter sentiment, perhaps?

Voters love teachers and vote as teachers tell them to vote.

That seem patently untrue. The posts here are by
Outright hostile to teachers. The truth is the mainstream consistently reelected these people because they're doing a fine job even if a few board trolls don't agree.

The MCEA loves their Apple Ballot candidates that push through extra time off for employees at a time students need face to face instruction.

Parents should boycott voting for the Apple Ballot if you want independent decision making and oversight of MCPS by the Board of Ed.

I'll make my voting decisions independently, thank you.

Really? Docca is doing a fine job when she falls asleep in meetings?

In my view the problem is that most voters don't have kids in MCPS, so they end up using the apple ballot because they don't follow what the Board does and how it fails to hold MCPS accountable.

Agreed. I am so sick of the small minority of parents who think they run the county with their “advocacy”. They act like we should all be so thankful for all that they do. I’m sorry- you don’t speak for me so please stop acting like anyone owes you anything. These parents know who they are. They are even worse because they bully others who don’t fall in line.

Dear parent, you are part of the problem.

I'm the PP you're responding to. Could you please explain how I'm part of the problem, and also what the problem is that I'm part of?

+1 Parents don’t vote. If they all voted they could impact election outcomes. The major voting bocks are people without children in MCPS.

Or, maybe parents do vote, just not the way you want them to.

The alternative is typically crazy right wing nut jobs. I'd rather have a union-supporter than a racist who demands never looking at school boundaries. When there has been someone not crazy not on the Apple Ballot (Lynne Harris), I and the rest of the mainstream voted for them.

Sorry, voting data is public. If you have an education and can read go research and then post.

Parents vote Apple Ballot because it's in their best interests. I know I do!
