If by freefall you mean drastically better than when I went to MCPS 30 years ago, sure. |
Stop complaining and support the teachers! |
And flat earther, antivaxxer, Floridians! |
They're voting on whether MCPS should support or oppose the legislation, which, apparently, is useful information for some legislators. |
Your comment made me curious about the Parents' Coalition so I visited their website. https://parentscoalitionmc.blogspot.com This is shocking. Not the Parents' Coalition reporting, but if Wolfe actually did this it would seem more of a dictatorship than an actual voting board? OMG. This is crazy. |
| The declining quality of governance in this county, from the council to the BOE is a major concern. |
Yes, they are nutjobs. And per usual they, point out problems as opposed to proposing solutions. They like to finger point rather than work to solve problems. However, this time they are right. Believe me, I am not a Parent Coalition supporter, just a parent who is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with MCPS! |
Dictatorship? Silvestre and Smondrowski changed their votes to yes. That was their choice. |
That’s why I said a broken clock is right twice a day! |
Wolff would not go to the next agenda item until they did. She had already violated rules of voting. It is called bullying. |
Pointing out problems= nut job? When the Parents Coalition pointed out that public school was free and said MCPS should stop charging students to attend classes what part of that was wrong? |
But what would have been the negative consequence to Silvestre and Smondrowski if they just held firm? |
I actually received teacher reports for my disabled child that stated he could not receive services and accommodations during online learning. I filed a state complaint and MSDE agreed that he was denied a Free Appropriate Public Education during online learning. His regression was significant. Some kids struggled because MCPS didn’t teach them. |
It was not better when I went there. |
So, when the laws, policies and procedures do not serve your purpose, then you proclaim that the laws only work for some and not for others. But when they fit your narrative, you preach others on laws, policies and procedures. |
