Why is it so important to you to get rid of the ACA subsidies and make millions of Americans pay more for their insurance?

Why is it so important to you to drop medicare coverage for millions of Americans? You do know that illegals are specifically excluded from coverage in the law, right? If there's fraud, why not just go after the fraud rather than punishing millions who didn't do anything wrong?

And finally, why haven't you rolled out your own solution to fix healthcare? Trump promised a "beautiful" plan that would cover everyone and would be affordable. That was 9 years ago. 9 years and still no plan. How is that acceptable? How can you be so stridently wanting to destroy things and take things away when you don't have any kind of viable alternative to offer in their place?

I’m an Independent. I want the healthcare system fixed. Why didn’t President Biden do that when he had control of the House and Senate? He was fully aware that the subsidies were time limited.

There are more than two months left to address the subsidies. Using a shutdown as leverage to solve a problem that doesn’t currently exist is short sighted. Are there more American’s currently being financially impacted by the shutdown than would be impacted by the subsidies? I don’t know the answer, but Democrats better hope not.

“Illegal immigrant” is not a term defined anywhere under law. They were here legally because they had been granted humanitarian parole, etc.

Your logic is like arguing that someone is illegally parked on your property after you give them permission to park there temporarily. Their parking would become illegal if you revoke the permission, but it isn’t illegal while you’ve granted it.

Some of them do want to work to extend the subsidies. It’s just that overall they don’t want to look weak by caving on the shutdown.

I’m sorry to tell you this, but this is misinformation.
Medicaid is not for illegal aliens. It does but cover them in most if not all states.
The enhanced credits are indeed expiring.
