Well, I was writing when I saw you posted. Thank you! You saved me a lot of time!
Also thought it was interesting how Banfield was looking at his attorney all the time for guidance.
When the prosecutor said he didn’t want to plead the 5th for his protection, but for his girlfriend/lover protection, Juliana scoffed. That was the first and only time I saw a reaction from her.

The audio of Joe moaning in the back was horrific.

Also, the EMS who attended the scene said Joe was found on the ground on the left side of the bed, while Christine was found nude, on the ground in front of him, more to the end of the bed.He also said he hasn’t seen the knife.

Photos of the master bedroom in October were shown, with photos of them together in many places and some of her night gowns hanging on furniture.

Judge also said that the biggest evidence that there’s a Fair probability is that she shot a man on the ground when asked to go get a gun, and she admitted to it. She just doesn’t admit that she killed him. She says she doesn’t know if it hit him. But there were two shots. If she says one is from Brendan, the other one is most definitely hers. He also say he’ll never know if the love affair was definitely a motive.

Anyways, guilty or not, accident or not, someone who sleeps and has sex in a bedroom where all of this happened is a complete psychopath. Oh, and Brendan is a douchebag. Raising his eyebrows with an attitude of “I’m better than everyone” makes me sick.

Exactly. Why wouldn’t BB tell her to leave the house with the daughter. And they left the daughter while they both went upstairs? Not credible.

AP is stating that she shot him in the chest… how is BB not charged at this point?
What am I missing?

Nothing on how Joe and Christine met or who set up account? Do you have a sense prosecution held back evidence and only presented what was needed for the AP to be charged? (Which isn’t a high burden given her admitting key facts)

RIGHT? If you REALLY thought there was an invader, you would either send BB in alone with his gun and the AP and 5 yr old would wait in the car. OR you would simply wait for police. I guess the AP's explanation for going into the house is that she wanted to get the lunches! BB sure did think through his stories.

I think a jury will find it VERY interesting that BB and AP went to a gun range TWO MONTHS prior. That's not something normal for a Brazilian AP to do with her employer. And a jury will find it oh too coincidental that it happened just two months before CB and JR's deaths. It's too weird for a jury to overlook.

There is the appearance of "self defense" or defense of another (ie CB being stabbed). So, they have let him off for the time-being hoping that AP flips on him, or hoping that BB screws up and gives himself away somehow. They are still going after BB -- but they need enough evidence to make it stick. Sometimes it's better to play the patient game and get all the evidence you can get when there is the possible excuse of self-defense in play.

Wild that she talked to police for so long. Seems like BB would have had her lawyer up right away. What a disaster. Poor kid. Poor cb.

There definitely is a lot of unanswered questions, even the judge mentioned this is one of the few times (he mentioned two other cases) where he had so many unanswered questions after what the prosecution presented.

The defense was pretty upset that they were unable to cross examine the detective’s interview with AP. They said that the prosecutor was cherry picking statements. They specifically mentioned the movie “My Cousin Vinny”. And mentioned on how it is clearly self defense to shoot an intruder with a knife.

The prosecution focused very narrowly on the AP’s role with the second shot. It sounds like there is a lot about the circumstances that the defense was unable to present.

That would be typical at this stage.

Undoubtedly AP will continue to be offered a plea deal. She may never go to trial.

BB is the big fish and mastermind here.
