Good episode, glad they wrapped up Kevin. I will say they I'm less emotionally invested in the Pearsons this season. Just wrap it up, already.

He was 8, not 5.

No one said he was five.

PP said an 8 year old wouldn't know how to spell Sophie. I think a 5 year old wouldn't but an 8 year old would. That was my point.

+1. I agree.

Unless he had been exposed to that name before, I doubt he would have known to sub out the "f" sound with "ph." Most 8 year olds are still phonetic readers.

He might have been exposed to that name previously and remembered how to spell it.

Are you guys seriously arguing about this?

Right? This sort of hairsplitting has made this thread so tedious.

She has Philip to lean and bring chalk on if it is just her mother dying. One of the Pearson daughters remarks that Uncle Kevin will having enough food for an army AGAIN, so this has happened before. I also think we are seeing two death scenes that have been carefully crafted and edited to appear as one in the flashforwards.

Right before the wedding when Toby called, it seemed to be a peace offering. So maybe they have found a way to co parent and get along. They didn't hate each other, so one cheated - they just grew apart. And Rebecca may not even remember that they're divorced. So him being there to support his kids and kids grandmother isn't so crazy.

Toby is single (no ring, bed empty next to him) when he comes over to the house with the chalk so that scene must take place a while after the scene at the bar concert with grown Jack and grey haired Kate.

When he comes over with chalk, the kids are preteens, about 10 years from now (we see Kevin's twins, who are about the same age as jack who is on his way). Grown Jack and Gray Kate has to be about 10 years after that.

Isn’t Hailey the exact same age as the twins so Jack a few years older? Maybe he hasn’t married his gf yet hence no ring.

Saying “Jack is on his way” would be an odd thing to say about a young teen. Jack is probably driving himself.

Except Jack is blind...

and Toby says "I just spoke to Jack, they're on their way" - they not he

They may be Jack’s pronoun.

Could be one of those clues to a full-circle story line that they end up together.

I went back on this thread and found one of my previous posts --- and I just want to say that I WAS RIGHT! And I found the "clue" on Feb. 25th.

What was your clue?

If you click on the button at the top (that shows the quoted post), I said, back on Feb. 25th: "Did you catch that Rebecca called young Kevin and young Sophie's relationship a great love story (or something like that) just before Sophie found out Kevin cheated?

Could be one of those clues to a full-circle story line that they end up together."

Maybe Kate, Jack and Hailey are arriving together.

Wasn’t there a flash forward (brief) where Jack and wife had a baby? I don’t think Kate is with them. Very strange To y asked ‘is she ok with me being here?’. I assume the ‘she’ was Kate.

The doorknob seems consistent. Mayyyybe the walls are questionable but that's an easy continuity error depending on the set. And when he asked "where is..." and the answer is "already in there"...remember that this scene is from when we didn't even know Rebecca was in the room, so they were holding back on even the fact that Nicky was there.

I'm all for a conspiracy theory but no matter how many times I watch it I can't see it another way.

+1 for me. I see young Randall in a hospital room saying hi to Mom, and old Randall in the cabin(? - I'm assuming it is) saying hi to his dying Mom.

Same!

Not at all cringey?

This is what is bothering me. WHERE ARE THEY?!?!

I read a comment and someone mentioned that they read the girls couldn’t be on the show because since the wedding is 5 years in the future they couldn’t have themselves play their future selves or couldn’t have the adult versions play that age either.

So why were Jack and Hailey there?
