Doesn't say how tall she is. At that weight, I bet she's at least 5'7", probably taller. |
Sure, but PP is also 5'7" and weights about 110 lbs. Do you think that woman could lose 40 lbs and still be muscular? |
Here are three examples of women in that height/weight range and none of them look emaciated. So not impossible. https://app.mybodygallery.com/#/?height=170&weight=50&age=40 |
I doubt the woman in that photo is 140 or 150 lbs. She looks fantastic and fit, muscular, but not bulky at all. I am the PP who is 5’7” and BMI under 18. I am slightly thinner, but not much more, and I’m toned. I look like the woman in the second photo in the link someone posted (although a few decades older). |
| Definitely genetics. My mom is a stick. I'm a stick. You're subject line made me laugh, though. In college I was in a doctor waiting room and this elderly man turned to his wife and yelled, "look at that skinny Minnie!" His wife said, "Shhh... you're screaming it and she's right there." So he screams, "she's can't hear me! And it's not like I am calling her a Fat Franny". The wife said sorry to me but basically the whole waiting room laughed. |
+1 Has he noticed? Has it affected your teeth? |
That's a very realistic look for women at mid/high normal BMIs who lift. She's not *lying about her weight*. And of course she's not bulky. WTF. What do you think women with normal BMIs who lift look like, bodybuilders? |
NP. "Not emaciated" is not muscular |
| When I looked like Kate M. I was sick. |
With weight, willpower can adequately compensate for genetics. There is not a being on this planet who will be overweight at 1300 calories a day over 5+years. Bu it is hard because willpower has a genetic component as well. Good luck getting enough willpower to get a PHD in physics. Put in all you wake hours, and you will still not scratch the surface if you don't have the "smarts" for Math/Physics. |
+1. I am thin. It’s obvious from spending time with others who are heavier than me, than they eat a good amount more. |
Different poster here. Body types manner. I am 5'8", and I look thinner than the woman in the photo at 142. I will not look healthy at anything below 135. I was 135 in college, and my ribs were popping out. My younger sister who is 5"7 will look much bigger than the woman in that photo at 142. |
Sick in what way? Kate M doesn’t look sick to me. |
| I would be so annoyed if I worked out like crazy only to bulk like that example. |
And who would you like to look like? |
