| Pp here. Truth is I skip meals often. But rest of time I eat junk. Never get sick, so I guess it works for me |
But it sounds like you'll have to make yourself miserable to get it. |
| Either genetics/luck or hard work. Just look @ the people who used to be famous and "let themselves go." Or famous people who yo-yo. Luck or hard work. |
| I have an over active thyroid. But it doesn’t look good on me, just makes my face look old! |
| I'm a size 0/2. I count calories. I can only do this successfully because I have anxiety problems that make controlling things, especially food, easier. It's subclinical but it's still not great. |
| I love how "it's genetic" is an acceptable answer to "why are you so thin?", but if the question changes to "why are you overweight?" the answer MUST be that you are lazy and/or constantly eating. |
| It's how God made me. But really I am petite with small boned. I don't have a huge appetite so I can eat what I want because I don't want much. 5 2 about 104. No boobs though. |

+2. was going to post the exact same thing |
| It is genetic for me. What else am I supposed to say? |
No, I don’t think Kate Middleton is 200 lbs. |
I am a naturally thin person who does not work at it, and that’s explicitly why I feel strongly about not fat shaming people and not assuming I know anything about someone else’s health or weight. I also have a mom who was naturally thin like me for most of her life, and has struggled with obesity and related issues (joint problems and diabetes) for decades now. I know people think it’s her fault and due to her diet, but from my close up vantage point it’s very obvious that her diet changed little, but that the combination of menopause and depression has the biggest impact on her weight and health. She doesn’t need a lecture about her diet— she needs better medical care and better access (and less stigma) to mental healthcare. But I’m sure most people on here will tell me no, it’s just that she lacks willpower. |
I live with a man who is very heavy - and it kills me when I read threads from people who don't understand that's genetics, too. You can play at the margins, or you can go out fighting, but your genes want what they want. |
| All these "it's genetic" posts are just evidence that how much you weigh is not a reflection of how disciplined, responsible, moral, whatever, you are. It's not a sign that you have more willpower or self-control. It's just the luck of the draw. |
Go back in time and insert your consciousness into her body while she's in the womb. |
