But forget the chic skinny-minnie look, and start squatting.

This is obvious to you, this is obvious to me, but no one wants to hear it.

I fully realize we've hijacked this thread as men. But the reality is:

Woman that lift weights are way sexier than woman that starve themselves

I really, really hate when men barge in, thinking their PREFERENCES are the final say. First of all, no one asked what turns you on. Second of all, men have a wide array of preferences for what they like in women. Some men like curvy women, some men like really skinny, etc. Sure, most of the time it's distributed in an hour glass shape, whatever the size, but the point is- please stop acting like YOUR desires are universal and the same as any other man.

Lots of people dont like how muscular women look. If you do, fine. Get it. Go to a bodybuilding competition and have a field day. But no woman needs to prioritize your fetish or set of preferences just because it gets you off. Capiche?

What would you guesstimate her weight to be? If her height is 5'9, I'd say in the 120s, maybe lower. She appears really thin at times. Supposedly, she followed the Dukan diet at some point.

How are there so many 5’8/120 or 5’4/110 lb people? Where are you all hiding? I don’t see that many people who look significantly thinner than me walking around. I’m 5’4-5’5, around 120, and I honestly could not find 10 pounds on me to lose. I have a 25 inch waist and a six pack, visible ribs and a thigh gap. No cellulite. You can see my veins on my arm muscles and all the definition on my legs. I could not be in better shape unless I trained with professional athletes or something. I have 17% body fat. How are there all these women apparently who weigh that much less than me? Do you all have no muscles at all?

I think people just carry their weight differently. You don’t see many people looking significantly thinner than you walking around maybe because they look similar to you but just weigh less. Not all sub-20 BMI people look emaciated. I am 5’7” and around 112 lbs, 25-inch waist, thigh gap, but wouldn’t say my ribs are visible or have a six-pack (working on that). Can’t see veins on my arms, but they and my legs are defined. Sure, my weight seems low, but I really don’t look skeletal at all. I do cardio and weights every day and eat a good amount of healthy foods and desserts too.

OK, that could be true. I'm 5'2" 120# have a thigh gap, my ribs are visible, 27 inch waist, my arm veins are very visible. I obviously don't look skeletal.

What does "my ribs are visible" mean?

DP-seems self-explanatory to me.

ribs visible = skeletal. PP said "I obviously don't look skeletal" so what does ribs visible mean to that PP then?

I don't know that this is true. I am 5'4 and 163lbs. I have a thigh gap and visible ribs but I wear a size 10. Not skeletal just have a gigantic rib cage and hips lol.

I agree with the bolded. The problem is there are a lot of people who don’t focus on nourishing their bodies, being healthy, or strong. They eat Cheetos for lunch, feed their children Cheetos and McNuggets, and smoke and lead a sedentary lifestyle. Or there are people who starve themselves and it becomes life-threatening. There are also 300 lb people who hang out with other 300 lb people and their 300 lb spouses and celebrate their life with shots, beers, greasy foods, and cakes. They don’t want to lose weight and love their Instagram worthy lifestyle. If they even made the day to day effort of taking one step more than the day before, or have one less cookie, then I would be proud of them for taking forward steps (the first of which are the hardest). But they don’t.

I think you may be the same poster who has commented on a set of friends who are all 300lbs with spouses who are 300lbs who have been in a COVID pod and have gone on a cruise/drink a lot. I'm all for hoping people lead healthy habits too, but do hope for your sake there is not a troubling (for you) reason you are fixing on these folks.

I am 5'4 and 135 pounds and also wear a size 10. I must have really gigantic hips or something.

The skinny people in my family (everyone but me) do not diet or have any type of exercise regime. My sister is 5'9, eats about the same as I do, and has never weighed more than 125. Brother is 5'11 and has trouble maintaining 140 pounds. My mom eats all kinds of junk and is usually below 110 (same height as me).

- Time of day for eating (no eating after 7pm, first meal is small bwtween 5- 6 am, biggest meal of the day is mid day.

- Aerobic Exercise 3-4 times per week

- no alcohol, no smoking

- lots of water intake throughout the day

- daily multivitamin

- twice daily dose of black seed oil, taken orally

Two weeks of this has lead to nine pounds of weight loss so far.

Most of the things you described here are irrelevant for fat loss. If you are losing weight it is because you have put yourself in a calories deficit. Also, of those 9lbs you lost, I would expect at least half to be explained by water fluctuations. You would need a daily deficit of over 2000 calories to lose that much fat.

Yeah, but consider that thin people generally fall into 3 camps:
- people who eat whatever they want forever and gain no weight (small %)
- people who work at it (good diet and exercises 3-6x per week)
- people who are likely engaging in disordered eating or exercise (1000 calories a day, 2 hours exercise a day every day etc)

Yeah, no.
They are not eating as much as they think and they are lying. I assure you nobody eats 3000 calories per day and is 110 lbs. Unless they exercise some 4 hours per day.
Liars, one and all.
It is not the luck of the draw, they don't eat as much, the end.

I agree with this. A few women I know who claim it’s genetic barely eat. And one in particular will be out running on the track on base real late into the night but claims she doesn’t workout

Yep. If you are thin and over 30 you either restrict yourself a lot intentionally or by nature. Those that claim to “eat whatever they want” are not finishing restaurant size portions plus entire desserts.

True, I don’t restrict or diet, but I normally eat 1/2 a restaurant meal and doggy bag the rest. I look forward to the leftovers. If there’s dessert, I’ll share with my family.

Genetics my ass! It has virtually nothing to do with genetics and everything to do with willpower and the desire to achieve this look you want. Unless you’re wheelchair bound you have the ability to do this. Most my family is overweight but I refused to follow that pattern and have worked out most my life. My mom always makes snarky comments such as, “for gods sake you just went to the gym yesterday”! She has never understood what it takes to be svelte. Either eat like a bird or train hard and eat somewhat normal like I do. I’ve maintained an average 24” waist for the last 32 yrs after I had my child.
