PP again. In my case, the whole thing blew over. OP- I’d work really hard with your organization to figure out how to navigate it. Anyone with two ounces of common sense knows this is BS. Your organization is doing it to protect their reputation so you should be able to leverage them for support- but in the context of how to get through it not I can’t do this or passive resistance.

I have seen a number of people falsely accused by a protected class. It’s very hard to prove a negative. If you value your career OP consult a lawyer before the “Healing circle “ AKA gathering info for a lawsuit.

Save/print all of your emails, documents, work projects, etc, STAT.

No, you can’t. What she wants is legal advice. Lawyers charge for their time and expertise, just like doctors. You would t go to a doctor’s office, describe a pain, and expect the doctor to tell you for free if it’s something to be concerned about, right?

That said, an hour of a lawyer’s time won’t be much and consulting one is a good idea.

I was falsely accused of discrimination against someone of a protected class (including lies).

What I read is that you are virtually powerless and no matter what if the receiver feels offended you are GUILTY. Your only recourse is to cooperate and apologize.

This is so funny. You all bought this stuff, own it, and now are sorry for the monster you created.

I'm a GS-15 and work a 40 hour week. Sometimes my feelings get a little hurt. Its amazing how low stress and good pay make my feelings heal very, very quickly.

Yall in nonprofits need to learn the phrase "its not personal its just business" People fight the most where the stakes are lowest.

This is OP. Nothing new to report. I contacted the facilitator last week as I said I would and asked for a phone call. She asked to talk on Monday of this week. I said I couldn't do Monday but sent my availability for Tuesday and Wednesday, but I never heard back from her again.

you should read NYTimes article on white fragility two or so weeks ago. Eye opening stuff. Not sure what to think of it.

+1 I have been hoping that someone in the other organization found this thread and realized how ridiculous they are being. They need to focus more on retraining junior than anything else.
