Thankfully George Lucas sold to Disney or we would have had those monstrosities duplicated in 7-9. Did you see the interview where Lucas was going to go full on Midiclorian in 7-9, and add another kind of magic force virus? What a mess that would have been.

And the Disney ones suck even worse. Hence why every movie since 2015 has been losing money.

Say what you want, the prequels are canon and come from Lucas. They aren’t lazy rehashes like the Disney movies that just lazily repeat the original trilogy with awful badly written characters no one will care about in 3 years.

Losing money??! Are you delusional?

First of all, Lucas said the Disney ones are canon. So you need to get over that. Second, they’ve all made a TON of money.

Force Awakens: budget $260-300M; box office $2B
Last Jedi: budget $200-300M; box office $1.3B
Rise of Skywalker: budget $275M; box office $453 (and it’s been out for a week)

I disagree that the movies are lazy. I love the new characters. The Skywalker story wasn’t finished because Palpatine wasn’t dead yet, which is why the themes had to be revisited.

There are 3 more Star Wars movies coming out that Lucasfilms has said will be very different, so you’ll get your different themes then.

Umm the delusional one is you. In your own post, you’ll see the movies have been losing money yearly, not growing. Do you know how basic math and economics work? You clearly do not.

Huh?

The movies....since 2015....have been losing....money.

2015: 2B
2016: 1.05B
2017: 1.3B
2018: 392 Million

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Different poster but I am going to help here. Losing money (i.e. not making back the money it cost to make) and not making as much money are different things.
So you are incorrect. They are not losing money, there are just not making as much money as they used to. So I guess you could say profits are down.

DP here. The PP is simply saying what I put in bold. The movies haven’t been gaining a profit over time, since 2015, the movies have peaked at 2B. And not made equal or more than that since.

PP isn’t incorrect, just stating facts. They haven’t been earning as much as the 1st movie.

DP. This is not meant to be snarky or rude, but is English not your first language? You are using words and phrases to mean different things than they usually do in American English, which is why people are misunderstanding you.

Yup. They want change but not SO much change. Decide whether you actually want something new, people!

This is why George Lucas hates most SW fans.

I would if I were him, too. Some of these posters sound like Goldilocks.

Ah, that makes sense. In one of the final scenes Finn said something like she (Rey) is in there, and when asked how he knew, he said, I can feel it. Just saw it today so fresh in my mind.

Also explains how he wielded that lightsaber so well in "The Force Awakens". He was going toe-to-toe with Kylo Ren for a minute there.

Actually this image isn't from a comic it's from a graphic artist named Patrick Brown. Does prints of various themes from Batman to The Walking Dead to Breaking Bad.

And how did they explain that Palpy is still alive? Hence needs to be killed? You can't kill a spirit? Last I saw it her fell into an explosion of a core(or something) and then minutes later the whole death star exploded. Was he going around in space like Leia Poppins gathering his parts?

Ugh. You need to learn more about Sith powers and pay closer attention to the movie. First of all, he wasn't alive. The very first line of the opening scroll said "the dead speak." His spirit was alive; not his corporeal body. That's why he needed Rey and Kylo's life forces to walk away from the machinery temporarily at the end (before Rey ultimately killed him entirely).

Moreover, it's well established in the books and expanded universe that the Sith can keep their spirits alive. That's what he did. His body was not alive. That's also why he didn't have pupils in his eyes until he took their life force.

That makes no sense. Why is there rotting flesh and nails on the spirit? He was blown to bits, if he is a spirit why is he walking away from the machines? Temporarily? How are machines keeping his spirit alive?! What need does the spirit have for machines?
