When are Herndon Middle and Herndon High going to get a break?!??

It’s telling that Hynes thinks damage control means confirming that at least another year will pass before the School Board does anything to address some of the most pressing problems facing FCPS. Too bad she doesn’t just leave now.

Unfortunately, there are more where she came from. Most people pay not attention and then just vote the Dem slate. GOP isn't even running anyone against the state delegate from Herndon--and he compared Israel to the KKK and protested with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. He won handily.

Classic example of too many sheeple. The current 10-2 Democratic School Board could not be worse.

What tweets are you talking about? I don't see anything that suggests this.

She must have taken them down! There was a thread of three or four tweets. The first one said that someone running for SB was misinterpreting earlier tweets of hers (which I could not find.) I cannot remember exactly (I didn't know I should have done a screen shot--it did not occur to me that she would take them down), but she said something to the effect that the SB was going to study the factors in boundary redistricting and that they would not be making any changes for at least a year. (I'm sure about that.) She also said they would be going to the community to get feedback on which factors were most important to them, I think. That part I cannot remember precisely.

Interesting that she took them down. Someone must have told her about this thread.

If kids can get bussed from the Loudoun county line to Langley, why not buss Lake Anne and Forest Edge neighborhoods to Langley? Send eastern Herndon near Worldgate to South Lakes. That would help to even things out. As for McLean, south McLean could go to Justice or Falls Church, whichever has capacity.

What is that gong to fix?

Be specific. Who would benefit from this?

The school board approved boundary studies to address overcrowding at Glen Forest and Wakefield Forest Elementary Schools this coming school year.

Wonder which candidate running for School Board she was referring to--that she said "misinterpreted" some of her tweets........

For those of you who need a visual: look at the Langley boundary map. Now look where Herndon Middle and Herndon High are on the map (hint: super duper close!) and tell me how it makes any sense to bus rich white kids AWAY from their local school and drive them over the Beltway in rush hour to go to Langley.

So, where do you want Langley kids to come from? There's no where else to go that is connected--except to take kids from McLean.

Terrible place to have located the school. There's no where to go but north/west. It appears that the buses don't have to get on the beltway, so that is a big plus. I can't see any other options that would work, except to take some from McLean. But, I am not familiar with how those neighborhoods work. Looks like that would make sense, though.
