Any questions for us?

1. boxer briefs. when it's cold, with a t-shirt.
2. yes, a dog. the kid wants a turtle, but until she can pronounce the "r" she's not getting one, and maybe even then.
3. many - how much time ya got?

Forgot the shoe question. No, but if I've walked out only to realize I forgot something and have to run back in, I won't take them off for that.

We had steel cut oatmeal with bananas.

Didn't find it in a quick search and at work now. If you watch enough gay porn, they all start to look pretty muc the same though.

I'm the one continuing to ask all the questions. What ones do you have for me?

If you give in on a turtle, get a tortoise instead. Cleaner.

Thanks for the tip! I'm a little wary about their lifespan. And reptiles.

What kind of dog do you have? What's its name?

I'm 13:58. I love how at this point people are just asking you random questions that have nothing to do with your being gay or adopting but rather are just plain old nosiness.

She's a brown puggle. Her name is Rudy. Like Rudy Huxtable.

Okay here's my questions for you.

1. Do you think all non-homophobic women secretly want to be best friends with a gay man? I notice a lot of jokes from new female friends about becoming my fag hag.
2. On a scale of 1-10 how much of an issue do you think my daughter will have with sleepovers when she's older?

1. I am not homophobic and don't secretly or overtly want to be best friends with a gay man. Meaning: my friends are who they happen to be - sexual orientation isn't relevant. FWIW, I don't have any current close gay friends but was really close with a gay guy in high school.

2. Hmmm...I think she'll have issues with some families - mine included probably - NOT because you are gay but because you are a man with young girls in the home. Scale? I'm guessing it is either a 1 or a 10 - meaning little black and white with it. My 5 year old was playing at the pool yesterday with a 14 year old boy. Half of me was thinking: aw - cute. Half of me was thinking: why is that boy so interested in a little kid? I HATED thinking that - and then my friend forwarded me an article about a swim instructor at a rec center in Oakton, VA who is 21 and is charged w/molesting a 7 year old girl.

Tell me about someone strange in your family.

Is it true what they say about big feet?

OP, I'm a non-homophobic woman. I have had many gay male friends in my day. I would not refer to myself as a fag hag, though.

I also have a daughter your daughter's age and would have no problem letting her spend the night at your house.

The big feet thing is not true.

I think fanatics of ANY religion become strange, because people pick and choose which rules and rituals they follow, and then in many cases, judge the heck out of anyone else they see not also doing that. My uncle is a total bible thumper and he and my aunt have three daughters. They, like I was, were raised to be Super Baptists. My uncle seemed ... unusually preoccupied with my cousins' sexuality. I overheard my mother talking to someone else in the family once about how we were going over to their house because one of the girls got her period for the first time. I was squicked out at the idea of what I might find when we got there, but we just all shared cherry pie my aunt made. It was years before I realized how weird that was. There are a thousand more stories like that one.

I care far more about your car seat use, parenting style, flexibility with feeding (we are vegetarians), you supervision style (i.e. involved know what the kids are doing vs. let them free play while you check out), etc. over your sexuality. A good dad is a good dad. But, I'd like to see your home study and like with anyone would do a google search and the basic free criminal background check before considering handing over my child to you. Adoption is a plus for us as we adopted.
