Any safety loving resident, anyone attempting to raise a family in DC, or anyone who cares about your property value needs to donate what you can to this recall effort. We don’t live in Ward 6, but we still donated. There’s not much time left to fix this.

Ok, MAGA.

Nah, this is primarily D on D violence. Maybe a few moderate Rs thrown in. It reminds me a lot of Godfather II. Charles Allen (Fredo) is off in distant Tahoe (DC Council) with a no show job. The NYC Corleones (national Democrats) don’t pay attention to him because he’s dumb, but harmless. Then they realize Fredo is costing them millions and putting their lives at risk. So they visit him and go for a ride in a row boat (recall).

It came out at the "forum" the other evening that kids call DYRS "the playground." Given minimal education and lots of time spent playing tax dollar purchased games of Call of Duty and GTA, not so much of a punishment or deterrent. In the 90s kids went to places in MD they preferred to avoid. That was better for the public and for the kids, many of whom were diverted, rather than groomed into, a life of crime.

It is as though Schwab and others are purposely engineering a young criminal class. Truancy is not enforced. Kids are caught and released even for violent or gun crimes. Very Lord of the Flies but engineered by adults. To what end? Not the benefit of the kids, many of whom end up dead at a young age.

How is this the 16-year olds fault? McDonald's is at fault for placing an arbitrary limit on the number of sauces you can have. There is no charge for these sauces. They are free! McDonald's is responsible for stoking the fires here.

South Park episode. I’m telling you.

I’m an immigrant and I never understood what the term “punchable face” meant until I met this guy. I mean it’s just… there and kind of smug and miserly and contemptuous at the same time

If you don't live in Ward 6, this sounds like fraud. Can we get the government to freeze these accounts?

This person's mind is gonna explode when he sees how much money JLG has raised from people who don't live in Ward 4 (or don't even live in DC at all).

DP: It's obviously legit money, but it doesn't correlate to support in his actual Ward, which is where the signatures will need to come from in order to proceed with the recall. We know this money is mostly coming from GOP ops so we have to see what happens next.

You could also look at the names and profiles of the people who are consistently boosting the recall posts on X and make pretty clear inferences.

Or read the article in that far right rag, not Stormfront, Bloomberg Government, /s. Linked up thread. Oh, to get you started

Democratic lobbyist Moses Mercado, a former Hill aide and superdelegate for Barack Obama in 2008, knows something about campaign organizing from his years in national politics. He’s bringing those skills to a local campaign much closer to his Capitol Hill home.

It’s really nice to see actual Democratic pros, who know a thing or two about winning, setting their crosshairs on Allen. It will take Democrats like that to save this city.

This. I called this in to his office four years ago and his aide lectured me from the talking points. Yes, it is the face of a man who has empathy for the rapist.

His supporter on this thread keeps bringing up the but who could replace him trope (many capable people is the answer)? I realized that even if NO ONE did and we just boarded up the office and took away his chair in the Council, DC would still be vastly BETTER OFF (that grifter Nadeau is next).

You don't really have representation on the Council. They don't care about you other than for how much they can turn you upside and shake you for tax dollars. Convicted child rapists, on the other hand, are prized citizens.

It's covered in this Tweet:

https://twitter.com/kdrkrepp/status/1159104610264657920

There was a serial rapist who also raped a child (you can read up on the details of the case in the court docs, it's fairly horrific). He was up for parole and the judge denied him parole, saying he was unrepentant and the nature of his crime was horrific. Charles Allen got upset at the judge for denying the parole, and wrote a letter saying that the law he wrote in 2016 meant that the judge was supposed to ignore things such as the criminal being a serial rapist who also raped a child. He specifically said that's why the Council struck down the part of the previous law that said the "nature of the offense" had to be taken into account.

1. Decriminalized illegal street vending.
2. Lower penalties for carjacking.
3. Increase age of adulthood to 25.
4. Legalize marijuana.
5. Restrict police pursuits.
6. Ban jump outs.
7. Get rid of bait car unit.

This Council is pro criminal. Sane residents are sick of this crap.
