Wouldn’t matter because everyone involved would blow you off. I truly do think SOME police care about crimes like this BUT their hands are tied by the fact that it’s very hard to force people into treatment, plus even if you arrest and take them to jail the perp won’t be prosecuted. |
Take back the previous post after seeing Ring video. Thank God there were some working class POC men there who intervened and not white dudes in half zip Patagonia sweaters. |
Any white man who intervened would be sitting in jail right now and an international pariah. We often hear about “the talk” but this is the one a new set of parents are forced to have. Equity. |
WTH with these kind of statements? |
There is only one way to find out if you will be blown off and that is to report. Every time. I cannot imagine that you watched a woman do these things at least 24 separate times, in the window of a school, but didn't report. This is what is wrong with society. Report, every time. |
Fine, send him to Sedgwick Gardens then. Tell him to come to Ward 3 and ask for “Matt” who will welcome him. |
The police are telling people not to. They wouldn’t even take reports last few times I tried. They have clearly been directed to avoid it. |
Van Ness would offer him exercise opportunities with the pool, though. Ask Matt what’s available |
What is wrong with you? |

Progressives in DC:
“All he needs are wrap around services for life and a hug! He bears no responsibility for this crime!” |
|
The MPD doesn't care and the USAO keeps letting criminals go free. The voters of DC have no blame to bare on this - we can't make cops do their jobs (short of making example of them) and the DC USAO has been refusing to prosecute for the last 7 years.
Something is clearly broken with MPD and the USAO's office. These people refuse to do their f#cking jobs and collect a taxpayer-funded paycheck. |
Just shrug now. Used this call police, not anymore. They’d maybe show up or not, usually she was gone when they arrived. A couple times they gave her some sweatpants to put on and sent her on her way. We don’t call anymore. There’s no point in it. |
I love all the “progressives” on this thread excusing his behavior because he’s “mentally ill” and completely ignoring that it was a lifetime of hard drug use that has turned him violent and unstable. He is a violent drug addict who has repeatedly terrorized this neighborhood. Not someone who had a one-off mental health episode. Excusing this as a “mental health crisis” does nothing to help him or the community. |
They’re true statements. White men are too scared of being called racists if they intervene against a criminal with skin darker than theirs. That’s why no “white dudes in half zip Patagonia sweaters” got involved. |
Some people are so unfulfilled in their personal lives that they think they can derive some sense of satisfaction by looking down their noses at politicians with whom they disagree. They don't realize that everyone else sees it as a sad, pathetic plea for attention. I pity them and their loved ones. |
