1.Mind your own business but don't flaunt sexual activity in front of children. That goes for heterosexual and homosexual activity.
2. No transition for children. Some kids think they are superheroes. We don't let them jump off tall buildings to see if they can fly.
3. Don't call people bigots because they think kids should not have surgery a la Dr. Mengele.

When you say sh-- like this, comparing transition to a Nazi torture doctor, you are in fact a bigot.

This is probably not the place for explicit descriptions of the results and complications of bottom surgery, but I think it is extremely unfair to call someone a bigot for recoiling at the idea of it and at it being done to young people who often have a range of other psychological issues

Kids aren’t getting bottom surgery. People are losing their minds over social transitions and puberty blockers because they’re terrified they won’t be able to look at a person, and figure out what kind of genitalia they have. That’s creepy as hell. No one has the right to know what’s in someone else’s pants.

It’s way more complicated than that. You think hormones therapies and gender changing drugs are risk free? No, when you mess with the endocrine system with growth hormones and other hormone regulating drugs, you heighten the risks for a slew of major health problems like cardiovascular disease to cancer to strokes.

Yet democrats want MINORs to make informed health decisions for elective procedures that could significantly harm their health in the future when democrats keep telling us those same minors have immature brains and not fully developed decision making skills when it comes to crime. It’s so, sooooooo hypocritical.

Minors aren't making decisions without their parent's agreeing to them.

You haven’t been keeping up to date with what Democrats are pushing for. They want minors to be able to decide even without parents.

https://www.kptv.com/2023/04/17/washington-bill-would-allow-transgender-medical-procedures-minors-without-parental-consent/

What could possibly go wrong with the same minors who make TikTok ideas eating Tide pods making decisions to take gender influencing drugs with significant side effects that heighten risks for major health issues over the long run?

If a child needs to leave the home because of religious bigots that hate trans people and are abusing them in a southern red state then that sounds like a good reason for a blue state to protect them.

Your response is very disingenuous

I didn’t say kids were getting it - I said young people - stipulate a 20 year old then

People aren’t opposed to puberty blockers because they’re curious about what’s in anyone’s pants. They’re opposed because they haven’t really been studied long term, and the stuff about them being reversible increasingly appears to be marketing baloney.

A 20 year old is an adult. You're advocating restrictions on adults now. The very thing you or someone else like you is claiming states aren't doing while ignoring that FL is doing that by restricting cares to only MDs.

You’re making things up - I am not advocating restrictions

My messages were in support of a PP who simply said don’t call people bigots for thinking kids shouldn’t have surgery

The odor of personality disorder is strong in your responses

How is a parent who denies some confused kid elective gender altering treatments automatically a religious bigot or abusing them? Maybe the parents have better decision making skills than their minor kid regarding long term health risks for these therapies? Minors cannot give informed consent, yet here democrats are demanding minors be allowed to give informed consent for major procedures that can range from surgeries to life long drug administrations that can have profoundly negative side effects.

There are bills in most red states. Laws in many passed.

Yet you can't present any of them.

FL passed one that restricts gender affirming care from being provided by nurse practitioners even though 80% of the trans ppl in that state receive care from them. I have a trans friend that has had vaginoplasty and therefore no longer produces any testosterone in her body. Her provider told her that they cannot give her care any longer. Therefore she has no way of receiving hormones in her body.

FL blocked gender affirming care *for youth*. Way to leave out that critical aspect.

What I simply can not understand nor will I ever understand is the Democrat logic for crime stating that we need to be lenient on young criminals because youth have terrible decision making skills since the human adult brain does not fully develop until our 20s, yet here Democrats say youth below 18 have perfectly capable decision making skills regarding their sexuality and for making healthcare decisions that could permanently alter or harm their bodies.

You can’t have it both ways. Either minors have mature enough brains to allow them to pick sexuality and make informed decisions for crime and should be punished, or they can’t make mature, well informed decisions. Which is it? The hypocrisy is astounding. You can’t make this stuff up:

https://katv.com/news/nation-world/maryland-bill-would-prevent-anyone-under-25-from-being-charged-with-felony-murder-democratic-delegate-charlotte-cruchfield-justice-reform-youth-accountability-and-safety-act

You are factually wrong. They passed a law banning nurse practitioners from providing gender affirming care for anyone of any age. My friend is a 30 something adult trans woman and has no way of getting hormones right now other than the fact that she has a small amount saved up.

Show me where it is factually wrong. It’s for *minors*

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/florida-gov-desantis-signs-bills-targeting-drag-shows-trans-rights-and-care-for-transgender-children

You know, the same population of people Democrats tell is have undeveloped brains for making decisions wrt crime.

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/4050524-trans-adults-scramble-for-care-under-new-florida-law/

So there is no ban for adults. Did you even read your own link? That
Now for confirming my point.

It’s banned in practice, not in theory. They changed the laws about who could prescribe and three changed the litigation rules for malpractice claims related to gender affirming care. Malpractice insurers aren’t going to offer insurance if the liability risk lasts forever. So, they have, in practice, stopped doctors from being able to offer this care.

Why would any insurer back doctors who are performing experimental surgeries on people with a diagnosed mental condition? This is lobotomies all over again.

It isn't a lobotomy and adults have the bodily autonomy to transition if they want to. Why would anyone care what another adult does to their own body?

If common insurance is paying for it, they might object to raised insurance premium.

No we cannot. Because those rights are at issue. And a big part of the right dehumanizes or is offended by LGBTQ and their existence. Those people are my family, my friends, my neighbors, people I care about. So no, I'm not ok with dismissing or "moving on" just b/c that is easier for you.

How are their rights being taken away when they are partying at the White House and freely holding pride parades all over the country? No other group gets as much positive publicity from public and private institutions. I can't wait for straight pride month celebrations...but we don't have that do we?

First of all, we have a SCOTUS who has signaled a willingness to roll back rights at the fed level. As have some states. But you already know that.

And straight pride? God you are a big baby aren't you? EVERY MONTH is straight month. And you can't handle a single month of inclusion and acceptance? You poor thing. I suggest you deal with it.

This is literally the argument that was used to strip indigenous children from their families, you’re only changing who the enlightened parties are. Removing children from their native cultures and families is, of course, now properly understood to be a war crime and form of genocide.

The state is incorrect in this issue. Hence the pushback.

I love my child more than life itself. Whether he eventually is gay, straight or bisexual. Someday when he is an adult, if he finds a loving, respectful domestic situation, I will dance a happy little jig. If he wants to wear clothing or makeup or other traditionally feminine fashion choices, go for it. I hope he finds a productive and fulfilling way to contribute to society and his family, and whether that is being a doctor or a nurse or a SAHD, I care not at all. If he has mental health challenges, I will not spare any effort or expense to get him help.

I fear that he will get caught up in some social trend during the confusing time of adolescence when he is searching for peer acceptance and belonging that leads him to make irrevocable medical decisions. I recoil at the idea of unnecessary surgery or medical treatment that would have a long term impact on his health and body.

If he makes the decision to medically transition as an adult, I will do my best to be supportive because I love him and the most important thing is maintaining a relationship with him. But I just can't support medical intervention for a child and I don't think state governments should factor in a parent's level of gender identity affirmation in custody decisions.

Inclusion also mean inclusion of all groups. Otherwise it is not the inclusion. It is the exclusion.

Very easy to make white people celebration month. Straight people celebration month. Then they can no longer protest the hypocrite.

I’m a socially conservative immigrant who votes democrat. The following are too much for me:

- talking about gender identity and sexuality in elementary school. Have no problem with talking about how some kids have two mommies or two daddies. But when students are taught about sex in 4th grade I’d rather it be introduced as a means of reproduction. I feel sex as pleasure should not be discussed until middle school.
- parents not knowing if their kids are identifying as another gender. This is a medical issue. Parents have the right to know whether their child has socially transitioned.
-pretending that biological sex is a social construct. Women are adult human females. Females are the sex with the large gametes - the ones, where if everything is functioning properly, have the capacity to get pregnant. Males do not. It’s as simple as that.

Everything else I’m ok with, including gay marriage.

Why should we stop drag queen story hour? If someone wants to take their kids to it, that's up to them. Why should you get to decide what others do? Just because you're "socially conservative" you think that your opinion of disgust about drag queens is something everyone should have forced onto them? No one is forcing you to take your kids to drag queen story hour and you have no right to force others to not do s

Why stop there? Give kids open access to porn as a parent and rated R movies to 8 year olds where they’re blowing off the heads of bad guys in action movies. Who needs to filter content for their kids at all?
