If some mexican body smuggler is even paying attention to the news. When he disappeared it wasn't the story it is today. And he has a generic face. He's already gone melted into the crowds, how would the smugglers find him? |
The parents gave him $$$ and a plan. There's no way he came up with this on his own. They helped him set off for some destination (Mexico perhaps?)? They know what general direction he was headed in. They know. Even if he does end up dust, I hope these people are held responsible. |
An American trying to cross into Mexico without ID would be about as easy target as anyone could think of even no one knows who he is |
If he had a passport, why would he have to sneak across without an ID? You don't have to go through US customs if you drive across. You just show your passport to Mexican customs, who may or may not even have a scanner depending on how remote the crossing is. Mexican officials aren't looking for illegal crossers. That is the other direction. He wouldn't have even needed a smuggler. Just a car that wouldn't be traced to him and a slightly modified appearance. And remember, no one saw him for two weeks. That guy grew out a beard, died his hair, and skedaddled. And as a result everyone is looking for some skinhead skinny dude from that police stop and in reality his hair is probably longer, got a pair of fake glasses and a goatee and he looks like a hipster from Portland. I think some of you really want to believe that the bad guys can/will always get caught. Again, criminals are dumb, if you are smart, you can get away with almost anything. Except tax fraud. |
| I think they’ve completely lost the scent, and are hoping for a miracle. |
| suicide because he can't live with what he's done. |
He would have taken his life in his abandoned car or better yet - his childhood bedroom if that was the case. Right after he killed that girl. Instead he ran more than two weeks later. He has no remorse about it. She was just an irritation. |

Brian’s attorney’s 5 word statement “ May Gabby Rest In Peace” was called disgusting by Gabby’s Uncle. “As far as the law is concerned this law firm may be immune due to attorney/client privilege," Steve Petito wrote on his Instagram page.
"But in the eyes of the public you are as guilty and complicit with this massive cover-up and stalling tactic,". |

Fox news: Brian Laundrie is a dick at restaurants
https://www.foxnews.com/us/gabby-petito-brian-laundrie-argued-in-wyoming-restaurant-eyewitnesses If this is true, add Aug 27 as sighting of Gabby alive to timeline |
I believe this--I bet he offed himself. I don't think he looks like a psychopath or one who would be unaffected by his actions. He seems like a normal guy who snapped and did something terrible in a fit of rage. I've watched that video about 15 times and he looks at her kindly and with affection throughout it. Yes, he should pay with his life (life in prison or the death penalty). No, I'm not defending his actions. Yes, I think he should pay for his crime. No I'm not victim blaming. |
Hmmm, I'd wondered when we get the connection between Brian and Wyoming and why he buried Gabby there. Apparently they were traveling through Wyoming, not Utah (which is where the police picked them up), when he killed her. Angelo said she and her boyfriend, Matthew England, were in town for a wedding in late August. They were out to lunch at Merry Piglets, a Tex-Mex restaurant, between 1 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 27, when they said an agitated Laundrie began arguing with a waitress. Four and a half hours later, a travel-blogging couple passed Petito's van at a campsite north of town. Angelo, a photographer, said she couldn’t overhear the conversation but that she believed Laundrie was arguing with staff over the bill or about money. She described his body language as "aggressive" and said he left and returned about four times. |
“Normal guys” don’t snap in “a fit of rage” and kill people. Do not normalize this. |
+1. This isn't a movie where he comes up with an amazing detailed plan and escaped from the U.S. |
He didn't and doesn't at all act like a "normal" guy. It's scary people are trying to "normalize" this white guy--and I am a white woman. I have known an unfortunate number of these types of guys and they are anything but "normal." |
He didn’t need an amazingly detailed plan and he had three weeks or more to come up with what to do. And had parents with liquid wealth who he came back to. Most people facing certain jail sentence in a case like this would probably at least try to run. With some smarts and some money it’s not that hard to run. |
