Yep. At this point I am more interested in hearing exactly what his parents have been up to all this time.

I do think he is long gone, though. There are several Private bus companies which specifically cater to migrant workers going to and from Florida to Mexico and elsewhere. You see them on I75 frequently and they list their destinations/info in Spanish. He could easily have handed over his cash, hopped on one of these to get to the border, and no one would have questioned a thing.

The Pedophile Eric Toth was turned in by a fellow tourist in Belize.

I would prefer he meet a different kind of end - robbed and dead in a ditch in Mexico. In fact, I think karma for him would be if the gangs down there all got his photo and especially the tat photos ( fern on R middle finger / mountain outline at top of R wrist ) and the message that he was traveling with tens of thousands of dollars in cash and that his parents have millions more

Interesting. Eric Toth was issued a arrest warrant in 2008 in Washington, D.C. He managed to live a free live all across the United States and eventually in Central America until 2013. But for some reason - people think this kid who already has experience in the wilderness and hiking can't do the same?

In 2008, a Beauvoir employee discovered pornographic images on a camera assigned to Toth. School officials escorted Toth off campus and he fled, beginning a five-year life as a fugitive that would take him across the United States and to Latin America.

During that time, he faked a suicide. He spent time at a homeless shelter in Phoenix, telling people he had taken a vow of poverty. He also worked as a computer technician and a technical writer in Austin and was booked to speak at a technology conference but never appeared.

Why not just electrify the water and the move on “ not here ….his body didn’t float to the top “ next

Because killing a single alligator isn't worth it. The guy has never been in this reserve. It was simply a blind to keep law enforcement busy.

Not comparable: We didt have social media in 2008 - atleast NOT like we do now and Toth was good with computers and ID’s weren’t as sophisticated back then cause it took years for the post 9/11 changes to be implemented

And Toth was not a high profile fugitive until the last year of his being on the LAMB - he got put there after Bin Laden got taken down . Brian Laundrie is on John Walsh’s show tonight and he is pretty much the most hated man in America right now - everyone sees his wimpy face

Lastly, pedophiles have their own network of fello pedos - don’t think their is a network for girlfriend killers

Why would they bring his car back home and essentially leave him in the reserve without transportation? Why weren't they on every news station pleading for their son's safe return? Because they knew in advance that he had murdered her and helped him get away, that's why. Why can't the police bring charges against these people for obstructing justice? don't they have bank records? flight records? phone records? something?!? Why are we searching in swamps instead of interrogating the very people who know his whereabouts? We're wasting a ton of resources on searching for this guy-the parents know.

This is all happening (probably with the exception of bringing charges because so far there’s no way to tell about that and the parents have probably been interviewed with a lawyer now). You won’t know about it until an arrest affidavit is released, for a lot of reasons.

The FBI already knows if he left the United States by air or if the parents flew sometime in the questionable timeline. They’re not going to release that but I would say all indicators look like no.

The amount of digital evidence in this case is likely staggering. I don’t know if he has any kind of phone on him now (but if I had to guess I would guess no). But they will have a huge amount of evidence to sift through from when he did, even if they can’t obtain the device (I believe they said they did but I’m not 100% positive). You need a warrant for most back end data and then it has to be analyzed by someone certified. This process can take awhile in terms of charging but will be guiding the investigation/search throughout as they receive it.

As far as dive teams etc they can be looking for evidence too not just a POI. It’s likely they have a reason to believe something of evidentiary value was tossed into that water. Could have happened recently or days ago. That reason might be finding something else nearby that is suspicious or could be connected to BL, or the terrain appeared disturbed in some way (based on drone footage or grid searches).

I personally doubt even his parents know his exact location at this point. I’m sure they have an idea of what could be possible.

Umm, yes we did. Redd1t launched in 2005. Twitter launched in 2006. Faceb0ok's been around since 2004.

And ID's weren't as sophisticated? You can still get a f@ke passport and driver's license in shady backr0oms I assure you.

I don't see Laundrie on the FBI's most wanted list, do you?

He won’t stay there. He’ll hike along the perimeter and exit when he finds a safe, remote area. He probably knows that preserve well. I’m guessing he is long out of the swamp. Probably helped by his parents. He could easily be out of the country by now. I hope not.

being an international fugitive takes resources. Judging by his parents' house, they don't have those resources. If he fled the country he'll turn up eventually

Wrong. His parents owned four properties in Florida. Not everyone goes all out with new money purchases in gated neighborhoods.

On top of that they recently liquidated three - one condo received $50,000 in equity, another home sold for $20,000 in equity, and a third was $55,000 in equity. So they have/had $125,000 in cash without touching retirement or the rest of home sale values when he showed up with 13 days to run ahead of the police.

That's enough to lay low for 5 years in Mexico, learn the language and find a permanent out of the way community, as long as he doesn't trust the wrong people.

Wow. How recent is "recently"?

2018. March 2021. July 2021.

I’d only call the July sale recent, and I doubt they sold investment properties and then just had the profits sitting around in a bank account. They probably invested them in some way.

I think it's actually harder to escape D.C. and get all the way to Arizona than it is to escape Florida to Mexico.

And Eric Toth's face looks just like Laundrie's face. Forgettable.

And I'd say two sales in the last six months are equally 'recent'. It's not like they sold any of these properties in 2002. They're all in the last three years.

Not necessarily. I know plenty of people in Florida with private small planes that don't even file flight plans. The narcos sure don't.

He didn't say a thing to the police and he got out of dodge as soon as the youtube video surfaced. I'm sure his parents helped. We'll never see him again. He has not really slipped up one time in exposing himself other than coming back to Florida with the van but he had to show back up somewhere eventually. I'm sure he had a plan cooked up with his family before his tires touched florida ground.

so what's the long term plan? He has no passport (at least one that won't set off alarms) and far from enough money to never work again.

I mean he will never live a 'normal' life again but he can most certainly live a life that is better than one in prison under the radar. He can do labor work for cash and just blend in. I'd be shocked if he wasn't in Mexico by now. I'm sure his parents hooked him up with 50 grand, handed over in cash and he gets down and sets up a bank account with a bribe. Pays for some fake-ish papers. He will lay low for a year or two and then use some assumed identity to just live a quiet life somewhere, probably somewhere out of the country. In 10 years, he will have aged enough that no one would recognize him, he could easily come back with a beard and 30 pounds of weight added and steal an identity and no one would ever know.

Criminals get caught because they are stupid. Most of them are VERY stupid. But if you are a smart person and you set out to commit a crime and not get caught, the odds are in your favor. And while the guy seems like a horrific human being, he does NOT seem stupid.

Agreed.

Sucks he didn't elect to being a contributing member of society with that brain.

But yeah Toth was walking around Belize with stringy hair, fake mole patches, and back home he had 1,100 new child porn pictures on his computer.

If he stays out of the limelight and away from law enforcement Laundrie could get cash jobs in kitchens, on farms, and during other regular labor. Toth didn't even have to do manual labor. He was doing stuff online for five years.

if he managed to cross the border into Mexico (remember no passport or ID, so not easy), I'd expect that whoever helped him cross now has his money and is either demanding more from his parents before killing him or has already killed him
